Around the mark 1:00 you talk about conneting different size of a display, is it also possible to connect a touch screen instead of a normal screen?

i just did somthing similar to this yesterday! i bought two laptops at my local thrift for 12.50$ and 15$ the cheaper one worked fine but the screen was broken so i took the screen off taped the wifi antennena that was in the screen to the case now i have a half top! its a portable all in one pc! just bring screen! the batteries worked on both of them suprisingly also! the 15$ one also works fine too but i need to buy a connector so i can put the ssd inside the laptop instead of having it connected via usb!

Buddy, ssds don’t have disks, that’s the whole point. The foam was unnecessary. Also great build!

Whaat did you do to not overheat that i7? I had a Laptop with an i3 3110m and then changed with an i7 3632qm. My laptop couldn't handle the heat.

Impressive what a efficient desktop you nowadays can "build" out of a laptop.
I personally have no desktop pc anymore, 2 laptops. 1 for on the go and the other is a full desktop replacement, hooked up to keyboard, mouse, external monitor and is used pretty much as a desktop pc.
Only thing is to upgrade disk space. With 2 nvme and 1 ssd internal i am sitting on 1 tb nvme for OS, 2 tb nvme for certain games and a 4tb ssd for more games. As this wasn´t enough i had to hookup 2 external ssds to usb3, a 4tb and a 8tb and everything works perfectly fine. and still takes up less space then a full desktop would.

I wish I have a skill to this too

Heeey i have a dell pc inspiron3521 but i want to run it head less but when i rmove the main screen cable it beeps i asked chat gpt and it was useless cuz i dont find bios graphics settings in the advanced ohhhh i want to run it without connecting the main creen cuz it is broken

For external audio output, you can use a general-purpose USB sound device or the monitor's HDMI audio output. However, sound quality is determined by external speakers and amplifier. No matter what you do with basic computer speakers for video, the sound quality is poor.

original speakers wires have all the signals to make 3,5mm jack, left channel, right and black wire - ground one. I think it should work

Or just get a new motherboard for this laptop that can make the laptop run with internal display working.

I actually needed this ...i have two laptops that are broken...only screen is working on one n the motherboard is working on the other one....but once you said that if the display connector is the same then it will work so I checked n suprisely it was the same ... this two different laptops (Hp and Acer) I made my own diy desktop from my two broken laptops n it works

The problem with such setups is that you cannot access BIOS or SAFE MODE via external display sources such as HDMI! Any workaround?

Why would you stick a wood-pattern vinyl on your wooden pissy case?

I think the hard drive solution is not good, the foam will make it more difficult to remove the heat from the drive, but it's algo easy for it to move away from the sata socket by it's own weight, something is needed to secure it

You can make better sound quality
Cut the wires from the speakers
And use PAM8403 IC audio board connect the wires in motherboard and connect best speakers to the PAM8403 ic board... You get better sound... This IC support 5v DC
