Why not rubber rebuild?
Ответить“Slower Than A High Turtle” 😂😂😂💀
ОтветитьIf you were not needed you wouldn't be there in the first place. That being said these places have maintanance personel that can do amazing things to keep the lines on to an extent. They also have a budget for licensed professionals and bite the bullet and pay whatever is needed to keep production lines on and more importantly to take advantage of warranties
ОтветитьAhh Backflows my specialty, was there damage in the RV body? I’m thinking that the rubbers could’ve been replaced on this one 🤔 instead of the entire RV body
ОтветитьHopefully the Sup doesn't know about this channel! Great job as always!
ОтветитьLucky first check wasn't full of rust.. would have been awhile
ОтветитьOr BFP???
ОтветитьSlower than a HIGH TURTLE ....
"hey you can't be doing Mikey ike that"
Lol you could’ve rebuilt that with no issues and a fraction of the cost. Good job getting some extra cash.
ОтветитьIf it’s so easy why didn’t he do it.
ОтветитьYou are awesome dude!!
ОтветитьIt's strange to me how people seem to think trades should work for peanuts and pretzels...
ОтветитьDefinitely finessed but them parts ain’t cheap.. that backflow is expensive I bet the rpz wasn’t cheap.. like your guys content bro I respect what ya do
ОтветитьDamn bro you replaced the whole damn thing?
I’m strongly leaning towards you not be a backflow tester, am I right?
Cake walk
Ответитьkilling me with the channel locks on the bolt!
ОтветитьI knew you were a typical scammy plumber. Bringing a bunch of extra tools to try to make the job look bigger than what it was, smdh. Never trust a plumber and watch them like a hawk.
ОтветитьI hate and love jobs like this when i think its going to be easy and quote cheap then run into problems, then why you quote high but job goes smooth and you quoted 6 hours and you did it in 3 but slowly. Smh
ОтветитьYou're being extorted, not for the job, but what the job could be right, that sounds fair.
ОтветитьYou mean your extortion expensives say it right.
ОтветитьTell them that they are paying for what you know , not what you do .
ОтветитьPart of the cost if for your knowledge from the time you have spent doing what you do. I unfortunately a lot of people don’t understand all of that.
ОтветитьOk...Chalangas!
ОтветитьEverything looks good but why can't you use a wrench that shit hurt my eyes seeing those channel locks on those bolts.
ОтветитьLove seeing this videos. I work for manufacturers rep selling Watts valves. This looks lik a watts 994 rpz or the ames equivalent.
ОтветитьSend a picture, then fill up the truck. Need only one part. Been there
ОтветитьThis guy uses the channel lock players for everything. Not sure if he owns a set or wrenches.
ОтветитьHow much a job like this cost
ОтветитьDon't use channel locks on bolt heads dude that's some hack shit.
ОтветитьBroskee and broskeets😂😂🙌🏻
ОтветитьAh, now here's something I deal with on pretty much an everyday basis. Backflow preventers. This looks like a Wilkins 375AST. I know those relief valves are pretty expensive ($500+ if I'm not mistaken) and are rebuildable. The rubber parts rebuild kits are about $100 (about $250 for a complete rebuild kit) for those and may have been more available than the whole relief assembly. The relief assemblies are more convenient to replace, though.
That old relief valve appeared to be leaking externally as well as internally. May have been a smart idea to replace it, but most of the time when you see a relief valve on an RPZ fail, the problem is normally happening with the #1 check valve being fucked up. Usually dirt and debris gets caught in the #1 check valve because it's the first thing that the water comes in contact with. City water is usually poor quality. You took a gamble and it paid off for now though.
I've replaced a few of those Wilkins relief valve assemblies and there were some leaking problems straight from the factory with the bolt holding the washer onto the piston being loose. That's what would cause the relief cover to leak water out of the air hole and it would discharge water out of the relief valve opening just like in the video here. I'm not willing to bet my life on it, but I'm fairly certain that was the issue on this one.
10 minute job, 2 hours later.😢
ОтветитьAye bro, you could have charged em for testing the rpbp for an extra $100. Potentially finding damaged check valves.
Ответитьthe customer gots to know u gots to f—kin eats and pays rents and has chillrens broskie
ОтветитьHey bro, tell your apprentice not to overtighten that supply line to the point where it kinks. You will be back.
ОтветитьQuestion. Respectfully, why didn't you rebuild it or put a new RV cap on If the cap was pitted causing it to leak from the seep hole?
ОтветитьWhy not rebuild the relief valve ?....only one I just replace are Colt 400s
ОтветитьYou can rebuild those right lol. Also did you re test it ?
ОтветитьNever say its going to be an easy quick job. Shit always happens
ОтветитьYou replaced the whole relief valve instead of just replacing the rubber inside… why?
Ответитьi would have replaced that flex pipe as well
ОтветитьCost?
ОтветитьSeems fine to me 😂
ОтветитьIt's called a backflow a rp . Reduced pressure device
ОтветитьYou dont want to drop the bolt.
ОтветитьThose kind of mofos should change they shit themselves😅😅😅
ОтветитьSlower than a high turtle killed me bro. 😂
ОтветитьI always LOVE explaining how I charge for jobs!!
My fav story to get OUR points across to the “customer “
Is this one.
Ford(the car guy from the 1910s)
Returned a bill he got from an engineer for $10000 to mark layout llines for a big ass machine!!
Sayin explain why he should pay that much!!
Engineer sent bill back with note;
Marking chulk lines
$250,
Knowing how to make chulk lines
$9750.
Ford paid the bill✊🏽💥
If you complain about my prices, why didn’t you fix it yourself or go get other bids?
ОтветитьYour price should also partly reflect your knowledge and experience. Here's an analogy: A man calls a locksmith to open his door, the locksmith opens the door, damage free, in under 10 minutes and presents a bill for $300. The customer says, "But you were here for 10 minutes. Why is it $300!?!?" The locksmith simply replies, "You're not paying for that 10 minutes of service, but rather for the 30 years it took me to learn to do it." NEVER be afraid to fix something in under 10. It only serves two things. 1. To make you look like a damn super hero, Broski. 2. Weeds out the "undesirables" that you probably REALLY wouldn't want to do large work for anyway.
