I deleted my last 2 reels because the reach was soo low and based on what my audience loved I was sure it would work. I knew it made no sense

The algorithm have no real structure it gives random ppl high numbers on post that aren’t even following these strategies. It’s sad.

just tell your viewers the truth "If you're not rich or you're a female dancing in your underwear you won't get views, there's algorithmic needed period but the honest truth.

Ohhh my , so glad I saw this news. It’s really now making sense , I have been trying with what I considered as amazing reels and the engagement hasn’t been uplifting. Was just considering quitting Insta but listening to the tips is now helping me to change the tactics. Stories is getting more interesting and exciting . Thank you so much 🙏🏽🥰

So... I have a little over 600 followers and actually gained most of them this year over the summer off reels. Recently all my numbers are down and reels aren't getting viewed by non followers. I did have to uninstall IG, but reinstalled it right away and since then seems like my reels havent been pushed out to non followers, would that have anything to do with it? Or did i have my 5 minutes of fame back in the summer and now its all catching up and the uninstall and reinstall is mere coincidence? Help!

How do you access carousels on Instagram?

I get all the weirdo’s in dm’s, hate the dm noting but scammers

I have only a couple hundred followers on Instagram and I've only posted a few reels. I posted one after Matthew Perry died and got 2.5M views. Another reel got 127K. I have no idea how that works. I am literally a nobody on Instagram.

I can´t have access to my 117k account, cause a technical glitch of the platfor, I can´t even send them " help " how could I contact them to give me a solution ¿? ( challenge- required glitch )

Oooh, very interesting to hear how you guys interact with stories. I never thought about it, but I interact in a very similar way!

I do wonder if some of the reduced reach in 2023 is down to them removing recent hashtags. I know for myself, I use the app a lot less now due to not having this feature. i.e. in the past I used recent hashtags to find new content from smaller creators. I hate using explore since I find repeats the same post content A LOT and is only ever content from a relatively small group of big accounts. If I want to find fresh content from interesting small accounts I now have to rely on other people sharing posts in stories. Hence again supporting why stories are doing better and also why overall platform reach is down. i.e. if no one shares the posts in their stories that day, well I have finished using the app for the day.

Algorithm will be different in a week. 😅

Reels will be there and will still rock. Stories only visible only for 24 hours , Reels - forever. Some Reels might hit after a few months or even 1 year. Do Reels and post them as your Stories. But stop doing dummy Reels , please

Instagram nuked my account and some of my big creator friends the day we hit 100K follwers. i personally went from 1.7M a week in reach to like 50k .. content stayed exactly the same. so i gave up creating there lol.

Yes the last 2 months has been lower(and my content was still great and consistent) but last week I went viral again with millions of views a day and a average of 8000 followers a day. (6 million in 5 days)

This video has already been more helpfull than what the social media creators are saying about this

Instagram has been the hardest platform for me to grown on… I gave up pretty quickly

I went from getting 10-15k view per post to 1k per post almost overnight in the last few months. I have 74k followers and havent changed anything. The current algorithm is trash

views a lower because people are elsewhere.

So weird because my followers tripled from 2.3k to almost 7k now, all because of reels. I really drilled down on my nice though and it's very location based so maybe instagram can distribute that much easier.

i feel like its just really hard to grow on IG!! however, shorts and tiktok have been soooo much better to grow if you are consistent
