Chevrolet should be liable for making such s pos vehicle like the Cruze it's not even funny anymore i have one im hoping to trade it in this time next year because sll the horror stories I've heard about this car its truly a pos. Im hoping this time next year to trade mine in for a Toyota Corolla thinking about just going ahead and having my buddy change all the hoses thermostat and reservoir every other year that's how scared i sm of this pos vehicle honestly they should have made this vehicle more durable or domeone needs to just make some bad ass after market parts its crazy how billion dollar companies can keep pumping out complete trash without being held accountable for anything its just retarded smh

I have some bubble in the actual reservoir tank, & coolant is lacking from the left as soon as you put it in I have check the reservoir tank no leaks. I have replaced the radiator and the fan three months ago. But it shows no signs of overheating just smoking and bubbling in the tank it self. Now soon as you put any antifreeze in it runs right out on the left side any suggestions.

Can bad thermostat lead to the car doesn't catch speed and doesn't shift automatically as the RPM is very low and if I keep pushing gas the engine dies

Great, thank you for this video. I think I may have a bad water pump. Its super we in that area and the car dumps a half a reservoir after a day or two of driving. Going to look at it tomorrow and try and figure it out.

I’m getting a leak somewhere close to my passenger headlight under my bleeder at the bottom by the hose but it’s not coolant that’s leaking it’s oil. I get white smoke out the tailpipe on startup. And when I pull the dipstick out it’s hissing. You have any idea what it could be? I thought it was the valve cover and I changed it but I’m still getting a leak and the smoke out my tailpipe.

What do you recommend for cleaning coolant and oil off of an engine? It’s looking pretty bad inside my engine. I’m doing some work on it soon. Would like to clean it up at the same time.

My mother inlaws has antifreeze leaking from around the rear driver side of the car, we noticed a large puddle forming around the tire while parked in the garage. Could it be traveling from somewhere in the engine compartment?

Mike, great videos as always. My 2013 1.4 just sprung a coolant leak in the pipe/hose that exits under the heat shield and exhaust manifold, below the oil cap. The leak is at the crimp where the pipe meets the hose. Ever see that, and if so, do you know any fixes aside from taking it into the dealership? Thanks in advance!

I found a leak in mine and I am having a hard time find a replacement hose. It is a hose that comes off of the water outflow valve and has the covering around it to protect it from the heat. Do you know the name of that hose so I can find a replacement?

You forgot the turbo coolant hose behind the manifolds, very common because it's exposed to lots of heat

My car has major leakage yet the temperature isn't overheating? I looked inside and it looks like its coming out of the water outflow valve. Is that a diy project? Or do I need to see a professional?

Thank you so much for explaining all the parts of my cooling system in such detail, possibly you can help me answer a question? I know your video is a few years old but I’m hoping somehow you’ll find my comments. I have a spraying leak that gets worse the lower my coolant is falling and more pressure is flowing. The leak is in the thicker hose directly under the water outflow valve. Would you advise using some silicone tape to seal until I can get into the shop for repair? Or anything that could seal/slow the leak for just a few days until I can get into the shop?

Just installed my new coolant reservoir. Feels good. Only problem is when I filled it up, it continues to leak somewhere (just as the old one did) it’s disappearing in less than a minute. Only reason I replaced it is because a friend of mine, who has more experience than I do, took a look at the old one and suggested that that’s what it was. I seen a leak from somewhere under the old coolant tank but couldn’t point out exactly where it was, which is why I was quite sure it was the coolant tank itself.

My problem is that it keeps saying “AC off due to high engine temp”. Had my thermostat and radiator replaced last year. Water pump replaced at the end of July.
