Uhm I'm just wondering, can you regress without reason ? Like, you enjoy doing those kinda things ? Bcuz I often like to do those things seen as agere but idk if that's what it is (im a young teen and i dont think ive experienced any trauma or a "reason" to agere if that helps btw)

I find this really comforting cause as a teen in highschool who constantly trauma regresses w a mom who would get very angry & disgusted if she found out I had a pacifer and acted like a 8yr old child watching my little pony. So I agree with all these kind comments and people who support their friends who age regress even if they don’t do it themselves.

As a teen I watch bluey and do childish things often but like I don’t think it counts.

I used to an age regressor but my parents won’t support me and my friend fakes it so I felt insulted and unsupported so I stopped and hid my paci and stuff also my friend DEMANDED ME to buy her a paci and hide it at my house so my mom keeps finding hers and I had a rough childhood and was forced to grow up early

Edit: I just remembered that when she “regressed involuntarily” she would get EXTREMELY VIOLENT and hit me and throw my plushies at me like ones with beads for eyes (ouch!) she would also neglect me when I slipped and she would have her phone at FULL volume playing stuff with yelling cursing and suggestive topics

I age regress because of s/a trauma, the most sad thing i think is that i regress around the age it happened so im stuck in a virtuous cycle

I do all of these things and I never saw it as age regressing? Is this what is is? I'm plenty an adult, I just still hold interest in stuff marketed towards children. I don't think that makes me a kid.

I wouldn’t necessarily consider myself as an age regressor but I am autistic and I do enjoy various children things like media, toys, and attractions. I very occasionally do child like behaviors (minor things like gnawing, sucking, having child-like curiosity, etc) and in general my friends think I’m immature/juvenile in nature but that’s just more so who am as I’m just young at heart. Regardless I relate to age regressors on many things and I’m glad they’ve found something that works for them.

I feel like I'm aging too fast and everything is way too complicated nowadays I understand wanting to go back to when it was easier before we had school or jobs or even just the easier ages of school. nowadays everything is complex and nobody can be theirselves now you can get yelled at for just wearing a style you like back then you could just play what you wanted to play and not have to overcomplicate about how you have an essay in the morning that's worth 37% of your grade. It's not my fault I just wanna sit in my cold basement all day and play with furbies and nostalgic toys and play minecraft surrounded and stuffed animals sitting on a blanket! to me age regression to me is beautiful Because sometimes you just need a break from the complex life we live in. and everyone no matter what it is should be able to be theirselves unless it's hurting anyone
