I think critical drinker is right, this phase 4 doesn't have a particular direction for us viewers to follow, for me it felt rushed and didn't take time to build a proper ultimate story.

I for one think this coming year DCEU is gonna be liked alot since James gunn gave us a preview of how it would go and i hope he doesn't take his mistakes from MCU and apply it to DCEU too, then even DCEU is gonna be even more disliked than it already is, ( in terms of live action ). I hope DCEU uses this chance to outshine the MCU, and then MCU will take things seriously and start getting things right like before, it would be great if DCEU and MCU develop a healthy competition that in turn motivates and improves on their quality of movies. I don't care if this means we get less number of movies, cause it's like Critical Drinker said "we should focus on the quality rather than the Quantity of movies released".

Did you know that for Loki they hired writer who literally hates Loki and didnt even remember correctly the events of the first Thor movie? And director who before the show directed like 1 project? And as female lead,the female Loki, they hired actress who wasnt even a fan of Loki and didnt even remember the Thor movies properly when she got the job?

It ended with "End Game" for me. Haven't watched any of the MCU beyond that, and won't. 🤷‍♂️

blame the first Avengers movie. A perfect film they have been trying to recreate over and over again with fail.

I just miss when marvel movies were made for audiences. This new brand of crap is obviously meant for our benevolent overlords who demand conformity and obedience.

I think the downfall is simple. They make marvel and Star Wars for women now. Which lets be honest make up a small percentage of the fan base.

Without CGI explosions sweeping landscapes fights chases morphs disintegrations (and what else) these films don’t have the substance to exist. It’s all smoke and mirrors - full of sound and fury signifying nothing.

Beside spiderman movies I have watched entire phase 4 from reviews and pitch meetings.

I've gotta say, I don't always agree with everything that's said, but I appreciate that it gets addressed as part of a rational conversation with specific points, and not overgeneralized ranting with no real point.

I realize from this video that I haven't seen a single Marvel video other than I think one episode of the Loki show since End Game. Spot on, sir. I have never even heard of many of the films/shows you talked about here. I just have zero interest in the MCU at this point.

I think the direction aspect of Phase 4 could have been better if they introduced the Kang Dynasty and the Multiverse plot right out of the gate, albeit still very obscured and not clear. The end credits of Endgame could have shown the Kang variants Ramu-Tut and Immortus discussing how humanity had advanced beyond what they expected, wielding incredible power and unlocking the secrets of travel through space and time, all without the aid of the Infinity Stones. But they would let humanity be since they showed no ambition towards exploring the multiverse, much less knowing it exists. Still, they would keep a close eye on them for the foreseeable future. And then the end credits scene of Quantumania would have been much more impactful and tense now that the Kang’s realize their empire can be toppled, and it wouldn’t feel like the overarching antagonists were thrown in near the end point of phase 4

These companies now produce content periodically to keep you subscribed to them. That’s it. They know it’s mediocre. They also know that if they pump out more content, the more likely it is that someone will find one particular show/movie interesting and subscribe. They also know that it’s way easier to gain a new subscriber than it is to piss one off enough to lose them. It’s literally a numbers game and the accountants at Disney know this very well. Trust me, they have crunched the numbers and THEY DON’T CARE.

I bet tons of people in the comments here are subscribed to Disney+ even as they trash it. Stop subscribing to them, stop giving them money. Send them a message with your wallet because they NEED THAT SUB to sustain this tornado of shit they are releasing into the world.
