Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight Review. With comparisons to Benchmade Bugout & Para 3

If you actually USE your knife frequently every day, you will appreciate all the nuances that make the lightweight so nice and easy. If you are honest with yourself and want pocket jewelry, definitely get the original.

I have the Para 3 lightweight and love it but.... The blade centering is way off. I can figure out how to center it. When get close the blade feels loose with play in it. Any ideas?

It was either the Para 3 LW, or a Para 3 with an upgraded clip. I opted for the $95 dollar option. The action, centering, and overall finish on my example are superb. CTS BD1N holds a 15-degree edge very well for EDC use, and it's easy to sharpen on my lansky system. I honestly fidget and flick it more than I actually cut things.

Worse than 30v, damb, must get around a hundred cuts. Come on Spydie lets do it in 110v, or MAX!

I actually prefer BD1N to S30V just because yes it has less edge retention but not by much, and is a breeze to sharpen. Much more so than S30V in my experience. Even better corrosion resistance as well. I’ll take those trade offs for having to sharpen the blade slightly more often.

Out of all the kives I own I prefer my pm3 over everything including my sebenza... Don't understand why but the pm3 lightweight feels sooo good in hand and it's easy to sharpen.

I know you edited out the spray from your femoral artery when you dropped the knife and stabbed yourself in the leg, but you shouldn't have. Seeing arterial spray adds realism and is a common occurrence on Mondays.

Did you notice any play in the detent? Mine didnt start until I carried/ used it for a while. Sending it back for a tuneup.

I originally preferred the wire clips to the conventional but I broke both I have owned relatively quickly.
