Best buttons settings?
ОтветитьOnce I finally started feeling comfortable with basic movement / short hopping consistently I came up with this devious exercise:
Go to the Training stage, and pay attention to where on the grid you are standing. now short hop exactly 1 "square" on the grid (10 mini squares), and then back to the starting position. the second time, do two squares, then proceed until you've reached the max horizontal short-hop distance of your character. I main Lucina, so her max is 5.

ОтветитьYo, I got cramps on my hand around the third +hour of practice lmao. I really like this way of training tho, it's been a while since I felt so smooth moving with a shoto. I'm practicing for a comeback tournament since it's been like 2 years since the last time I competed. Thanks!

ОтветитьFor those who are as bad at short hopping as me, you can get a GUARANTEED SHORT HOP by pressing two jump buttons at once! (Example: X + ZR)

ОтветитьIs there a way to make the jump button less sensitive? It is SO difficult to do a short hop for me. It’s almost like I have to purposely mostly miss the button and can’t seem to get the short hop consistently past 2 times in a row. 😭
ОтветитьWith short hopping, is there a way to adjust the sensitivity for buttons? The timing for short hopping is very tight for me. Also, is there a way i can adjust settings to eliminate directional up input as jump? I don't like accidentally double jumping
Ответитьlast time I watched this video was 5 or 6 months ago, I couldn't short hop consistently and all of this looked impossible, now I'm rewatching again and I can do all of that consistently :D signs of improvements are always fun
ОтветитьBeen playing smash for years but never tried to get good other than to have fun with friends and family, these videos have been an immense help! Just learning the fundamentals even if you cant do everything in this video is great starting point
