Building a Gaming PC...at Best Buy??

Back in the middle of October 2022 I built a pc only from BestBuy. Here's what I bought: Motherboard Asus Tuf Gaming X570 Plus Wi-Fi 202.99, Memory Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB Kit with RGB 119.99, Power Supply Thermaltake Smart 700w ATX 80 Plus 49.99, CPU AMD Ryzen 5600x 159.00, GPU Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 12gb GDDR6 427.99, SSD Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2tb 189.99, Case NZXT H510 83.99, the total for all this? 1233.94 about

My best buy always has 1660s sitting and occasionally a rtx 3060

For a 100 dollars less than that ipower system you said you where going to steal the gpu from, you could get a i5 13420f ,8gb ddr5 ram, 1TB samsung ssd and a rtx 3050 6gh laptop for cheaper with a ips 144 hz screen

cases in america are really very expensive for their performance.

I got a pre-built CyberPowerPC through bestbuy. I got it for 1,399.99$. I got it 8 months ago. It has a gigabyte eagle oc rtx 3070 and i7 12700KF. Pretty solid PC. Decent.

The gaming pc im using to watch this was actually entirely made from parts at best buy and it wroks REALLY well its a pretty mid - high range gaming pc so best buy really can give you a good pc

I bought the I buy power trace Mr and swapped out the parts for better ones. I've already upgraded the cpu to the 13900k a 360mm aio and 64gb of ram and I added a 2tb 980 pro. Now I just need to upgrade the mother board and the gpu. I also own a razer blade pro 17 4k for gaming on the go.

i finally went to microcenter for the first time a few months ago to get a gpu since online retailers were still struggling to hold stock and scalping. apparently that location has been there since 2011 and i did not know. granted it was an hour away. all i gotta say is, damn, microcenter is awesome. its a haven for pc builders. its the ONLY store you should shop at to build a legit rig the right way. they literally have everything. they have an entire aisle for custom water cooling loops for goodness sake. its crazy. and the desk in that area has a cool spreadsheet kinda program(like pc part picker) that they cna pick parts for you based on your budget to build the best bang for the buck. just be sure to let them know what resolution you plan on gaming in so they dont recommend something like a 13900k for 4k gaming that would be a waste of money.

I’ve come to realize the pre builds are actually perfectly fine. Nothin wrong with them at all. The only reason people like this guy hate on them is cause the person who built it isn’t as forward thinking and efficient as him and using the best possible parts for the price that they THINK it SHOULD be. The worst mistake you can make when buying your first pc , is asking somebody who owns pc. They’ll tell you anything other than top of the line is trash and really screw up your idea of what a pc actually is.
