I find that the Automatic Vehicle Hold feature is a good option -- one doesn't have to keep the brake pedal depressed, and the car will unlock the brakes at the slightest tap on either the brake or gas pedal. Unfortunately, you have to opt in the AVH and opt out of the Auto Start Stop, which I never use.

I clicked over for my fog lights to turn on, but they are not turning on. The icon isn’t on the dash, just the light icon. Can someone help me with this?

There is the hatch back height setting that can be very frustrating. For low ceiling heights, you can adjust the hatch so it doesn’t come all the way up. However, figuring out how to correct that isn’t easy. The button near the dash light adjustment controls it. Maybe you can add that to an upcoming video.

How do I lock all doors and the gate at the same time on my 2023 Forester Wilderness?

I have a 2018 Subaru Outback with 11,000 miles. Recently, the battery (factory battery) went out and I replaced it. All mechanisms appear to be working except for the ECO Gauge.
Can you tell me whether the ECO GAUGE needs to be reset because of the battery change? If so, how would I reset it?

My 2022 crosstrek is a 6 speed manual. Doesn't have the eyesight. Also, my car has a real key. Changing the battery. .now it won't work at all. Sigh

Just so some of your viewers with brand new Subaru sedans won't be confused (as I was), they might need to know that "Maintenance" is a separate item on the screen, rather than being under Car Info. Furthermore, all the maintenance items were filled in by the dealer.

Well, we just bought a 24 Outback for mom and me since daughter liked her CrossTrek :). Nice vehicle! Thanks for the info!

One problem I had with changing settings on my new (used) Forester, with the original battery that was not optimal, is that I got carried away doing all the settings and learning about how things work, and when I went to start the car, the battery died a horrible death. It got so low I couldn't even lock the door, and was unable to use a trickle charger. AAA managed to help me get it started, with a bit of work, but people should be aware that the screen, especially the big screen with my touring trim, sucks up a lot of power.

Can the instrument light colour be change on the 2023 Outback and if so how.

Alex, I have a 2021 Subaru Outback. One of the frustrating components of the vehicle is the key Fob to lock and unlock the doors. I'm grateful for the option. However, the range of operation is limited. Meaning... I've got to be very close to the vehicle for this feature to work. My wife has a Lexus RX 350 and the range of distance for that vehicle is 50 yards if not more.
Question.. Can the range of the keyless feature to lock and unlock be increased?
