I honestly feel like had it not been for all of this, Simon and McClane would’ve been great friends. The banter between the two of them is classic.

Fun fact: Simon Gruber was portrayed by the same actor who voiced Scar in The Lion King.

Had they known each other under different circumstances, I think Simon and John would have been good friends. They just gel so well together, despite being opposite sides of the law.

ive said it before..i think if they werent trying to kill each other, Simon & John could of been friends. They obviously have that chemistry. But ones a bomb-setting thief and the other throws terrorists with big brothers out of skyscrapers windows,so here we are.

This was the true sequel to Die Hard. It has John working in his jurisdiction of NYC plus it has Hans’s brother in a revenge plot.

Irons gives Peter Simon Gruber character so much charm it’s impossible not to enjoy the character. I love that even when he believes his won he ain’t gloating. And is actually still respectful to John. And even joking and playful with his nemesis. Love Hans but I believe Simon is the best villain in the Die hard films.
