HAPPY 2023 EVERYONE! I hope you're all having an amazing start to your year! I hope this video gives you some design inspiration and direction for your home this year!! 😍
Ответитьso good
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьUnless you’re an interior designer, it is far more beneficial to just defy trends completely and decorate to please ourselves. Truthfully it’s insulting and beneath me to follow fleeting trends, unless I truly love it. Then the furniture or the decor I love becomes timeless, no longer just a trend.
ОтветитьThose large gallery walls... sorry, not for me. They bring so much unease, like the right one on 9: 28. Or are still so boring, like at 9: 38 and 9: 49. A smaller, contained one, is okay by me. Can be fun. But to drown one beautiful picture out with twenty others? Nay!
But I already have an idea to keep it beautiful and still fit together. No, it's not the color or size of the frame.

ОтветитьI don’t like that thick marble! I’ll skip it lol
ОтветитьAwesome ❤
ОтветитьAll the palettes look the same. Where's the individualism? 😮
ОтветитьNo thanks Lol
ОтветитьNot for me. Wanma make Christian decor a classic trend forever .
ОтветитьTrends are always changing. It's a nightmare to people that only want to keep their stuff and look "clean". I'm happy to know we now can display our own design and keep old fashioned stuff, 19th century and late 20th century too. And keep our sofas pattern. You are amazing, miss!
ОтветитьYuk brown
ОтветитьSome of the designer’s tricks are beyond stupid. Eg. a little portrait next yo a stove.
ОтветитьWhy does one need a kitchen if every work is done in a butler kitchen? Just to show off? Or to have more premises to clean?
ОтветитьCada estilo segue com sua elegância, adorei essa nova tendência!
Ответитьi don't give a crap about trends
ОтветитьOr maybe you could study an Era that you like and style your house like that, actually learn about it instead of use the style and not know a thing about it, other than it looks pretty, it makes it look better as well because you can pick actual items used in that Era, know what they are and what they were used for, like at the begining she showed Victorian items, that is my design style, why? Because I study the time period, I know what items are from that time period and buy accordingly and it helps to give the more authentic look, instead of buying items that are Victorian like. You know how many things I come across in antique shops that are labeled Victorian and they are definitely Edwardian, they are not the same and here in America it was called the Guilded Age and the age of Progression. I'm pretty sure the couch at the begining was a fainting couch, which many think it was because of corsets, not really, it may have been the heat in the ballroom, but sometimes it was for dramatics, Women would fake fainting sometimes on purpose for attention, Victorians could be dramatic at times and it was one way Women could get noticed.
ОтветитьThis lady definitely knows what she’s talking about. I love all her ideas.
ОтветитьI haven't liked this year trend
Ответить2023 trend, hidden ”real” kitchen inside a kitchen 😂
ОтветитьHi,
What Is The Name Of Your Paint Color Of Your Home?
Ty
Adding character to your home is essential. BE BOLD. BE BRIGHT. BE Brilliant with less clutter and organization .
ОтветитьFound a ton of inspiration in this video, thanks Kristen❤
ОтветитьI think stop following trends and decorate however you want..your house is to be lived in not a frigin museum
ОтветитьI think that the key to really decorating and remodeling your home is money, a lot of money. 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThis trend is basically what my style has always been. I’m glad it’s coming back this year. Now I don’t have to repaint my house because I already have the bold colour scheme. I like the idea of a galaxy wall in the front foyer. We have a ground level foyer which leads up to our main level [6 stairs]. At the top of those stairs is a landing/hallway which is open to the front foyer so the ceiling is quite high in this area. I’d like to put a galaxy wall there. Right now all I have on that wall is an 18” round mirror. Can the mirror be part of the gallery wall with framed art around it? How high can I go with this gallery wall?
Ответитьi really do not understand, why i have a kitchen if i do all my cooking stuff in a "butlers room" - as if i were my own butler.
A kitchen is made for beeing used
Exciting your interior designs! I also work in furniture in Vietnam, my hometown. Hope your designs will be popular this year.🤩
ОтветитьThank you so much 😊
ОтветитьQuestion about gallery wall please, can we do family pictures instead of artworks? If we can do family pictures, any suggestions on pictures tone like black and white, natural color, etc.?
ОтветитьHi Kristen! can you cover combining silver and gold? I have a gray couch with chrome legs, but I really love the gold finishes and do not know how to make it work! I love the modern farmhouse, transitional styles!
ОтветитьI never liked the farmhouse style, the grey and all white. I am glad the trend is now more about people’s personality and functionality.
ОтветитьIt’s cool
ОтветитьHow about bathrooms? I'd really like to see what's in for a bathroom. We are remodeling our main bathroom & I need ideas from someone like you :>)! thank you, always enjoy watching your interior design ideas!
ОтветитьI love butler’s pantries too. They are an awesome trend!
ОтветитьNice job. You rock homegirl!!😊😊😊
ОтветитьI’m glad brown is back. I pledge to never paint dark colors on walls or ceilings. It sucks up all light and energy from the room.
ОтветитьYes, so tired of everyone using basic gray and white, stay away from matching furniture sets. Shopping thrift helps with this and it’s fun and shows off your personality. Love deep warm browns, but not Fort Worth beige, no thanks. Love the gallery walls my M in Law has had one since the 80’s but these can be even more expansive and I like the variety and the connection with some similar elements.
ОтветитьNow that I am ready to jump on the white and grey bandwagon, I see the new trend for 2023
ОтветитьThanks Kristen this just confirms what I always tell my clients, “stay classic as the trend will come back around, I promise”
ОтветитьOne thing I DO LOVE. My brown kitchen cabinets that I never could afford to replace are finally looking good. And my floors that I hated when I first moved in are looking good. I thought they were too red. But now they are looking fine. They are an engineered darkish brown with a bit of red-tone in them. Now they look classic and very warm.
ОтветитьOH man, I did the Gallery wall 2 years ago and got over it! I loved it at the time but got tired quickly. It started looking messy and I got scared of some of the Santa pictures at Christmas. lol
ОтветитьFunny, last year I converted a huge room into my hobby room with wall to wall built in shelves and counters and the office just off the kitchen is now half office and half butlers pantry. Last summer when my daughter was home from college she hung 20 or more of my paintings on a wall just to get them off the floor so now I have a gallery wall as well. I don't really follow trends but this is defiantly up my ally.
ОтветитьI was watching a Pottery Barn video, spotted a chocolate brown sofa, and I fell in love with it. I didn't know atvthevtime that darker furniture had made a comeback. Also I've been thinking of getting darker cabinets for my kitchen. Who knew?. Thanks for the info.
ОтветитьMy house is back in style! I was never into all white everything! I also up cycle many pieces.
ОтветитьI feel like this is how design should always be. If you follow trends you’ll end up spending all your money every two years in remodeling.
ОтветитьLove it!❤
ОтветитьHad already planned a kitchen update this year. I have a giant stacked window over my sink area and the wall surface is pretty small. I was planning to paint the wall as a focal point a a dark navy/charcoal trim and all. I love the highlight a dark surrounding gives a window. Was excited to see this a a trend because I needed a confidence boost!!
Might do a gallery wall. I have noticed that big art seems to be more 2022 as I'm see more dramatic gallery walls too
