I’m 1 month in (French) and I was going through lessons so fast that it became difficult suddenly. Due to that, I’m kicked out for making mistakes but they didn’t even teach the words they’re using. A LOT OF TIMES, I type a sentence and get it all correct yet it’s wrong for the tiniest reason. Duolingo frustrates me and then offers its paid system. My problem is….I was liking doing 1 hour per night and now I can only do 5 minutes per day.

This video helped but I’m still lost. I’m doing this on my phone, not computer. Thanks!

The efficacy of Duolingo depends on the language you're trying to learn. German, Spanish, French, et al, fine. Finnish? Ferged about it!

Honestly, if you're like me and don't get confused learning several languages at once, just do that and just go from your strongest to weakest and without any tactics, you can top your league easily. I have 8 going and I can get 1000xp in 15 minutes without even thinking about multipliers or time of day or any of that

Has the structure of duolingo changed? Some of what you are talking about doesn't really seem to link with what im seeing on the app. I only started with the app this week.

Hi Evan, I spotted your video last night. Ive been learning French on Duolingo for nearly a year now (280 days streak I think) I would like to know if I start another language will I keep the 280 streak?

Guys Irish is a great language to use like a “secret language”. I’m Irish and my sister and I are fluent in it, so we use it on holidays all the time 😂

I briefly tried Duolingo years ago on multiple languages and of course achieved nothing. But I'm on my first 30 day streak of German course now. It really helped.

Ain’t got it. Somethings correct and somethings incorrect. How can I fix Duolingo mistakes when your next video because I am in a crate of errors so far

Duolingo had its updates. The old version was better, because one could choose to repeat topics if needed and finish them earlier if one doesnt make any mistakes. The new version holds one quite some time in a loop. But in both versions the main problem is that often one is not challenged enough, so one gets bored and does mistakes with the result of additional repetitions.

The only problem is, Duo pushes you to rush through the lessons as quickly as possible. With the double xp that last only 15 minutes (rather than, say, three lessons), and the leagues in general, it makes you want to complete as much as you can, as quickly as you can, so it's actually sabotaging people trying to carefully learn a language like this.

I have always had a hard time learning in school. I"m 59 now and trying to learn Spanish. I was never good at grammer. You think I can still learn to have conversations?? Thank you

I have been using DuoLingo for 60 consecutive days now and I have never seen or heard of most things shown in this video.
Where are these trees and whatnot!??

Also I started with French (from German as a base language) and noticed it has way less features as French (from English as a base language).
Stories or audio lessons for example are only available for english Users.

But it is not free, free version is impossinble to use, you are run of hearts at once. So i got family plan now, 28 days 😇😃

I only get fatigued with the app after French class as I am taking Beginning French at my university so if I only do 15 minutes one day but 4 hours another day its because I had a lot of French homework one night while the other night not so much. Duolingo is supplementary for me. It's not my main source of language learning.

I love duolingo. Am advancing my French and has been good so far. I have now added Zulu, and am on my 660 days. I practise everyday

I was OBSESSED with leader-boards last year. The problem is, in order to win, I would just binge events until they were over. The events were usually just things I had already learned in a rapid fire format. Granted, it's good to have a time window, to make sure you can recite what you know at a decent pace. But ultimately I was more focused on gaining points than learning anything new. So for me, the completion was hindering my development.
