And just what exactly, were the criteria for your rankings ?
ОтветитьLoved the founders reserve. Would be a great kit for acoustic music
ОтветитьThe Tama kit was by far the best sounding out of them all. DW wayyy overrated, I would take any other kit before them.
ОтветитьI was like... Soo good... yes.. soo good.. then.. The Yamahas.... and THERE IT IS! perfect :)
ОтветитьSHANE'S KIT! : )) 100 PERCENT My Ludwig has 11 drums and 10 electronic pads, good choice on the cymbals, I use Sabian AA rock : ) AAX metal ride and a 14 XSR fast crash
ОтветитьAwesome video (yet again) guys! Just plain fun to listen. You guys put in a lot of work to do these I’m sure. Happy Holidays
ОтветитьDW spruce? That John Good is one crazy man! Not my sound but I would definitely dig that exotic "compact" kit! British Drum company has some really sweet sounding drums. Theirs and the jellybean kit were my favorite sounding kits. Never saw Zildjian S dark before, still like the A custom better. Great video. Still waiting for a cowbell comparison.
ОтветитьThat Mapex kit has some serious punch! I also love how Barrett was the obvious choice to play the monster size 70’s gretch❤️
ОтветитьI’m incredibly bias towards pearl so I’d probably pick the reference.
However, considering the level of some of the kits here, (I’m not a drum snob but I never thought I’d say this 🤣) I REALLY like the mapex. I thought exactly the same when I saw it on your other video 😍
Ooof… those DW Mahogany/Spruce sounded awful imo…
ОтветитьThe George Way kit is the bomb🔥
ОтветитьGeorge Way - like buttah...
ОтветитьAfter watching this video 3 times I just realized that Shane's DW kit was the best compact kit. 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьI don't see a link for Rodgers.
ОтветитьMost excellent Ted!
ОтветитьFlying from Vegas to Connecticut next week. May the sweet Lord from above grant me time to make it to DCP to drool and weep in eyes on bliss!
ОтветитьThe low end on that first DW is unreal!!! My fave along with the classic recording custom and broadcaster!
ОтветитьGreat job tuning on all the kits!
And allowing the drums to really ring out!!!
Yamaha Recording Custom all day long!
Although DW, Gretsch and Sonor sounds amazing! ❤❤
Thank you guys for your shop and your videos!
EARTHWORKS AUDIO 👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьI love that Gretsch Broadkaster!
ОтветитьI was actually going to be upset if that SQ2 wasn't #1 lol
ОтветитьI would like to know what cymbals you play on Tama video. Thank you, and congratulations!!
ОтветитьThat DW Mahogany / Spruce.
🤤
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say this, but... Man Tony's playing has skyrocketed!!👌 Sounding super clean and groovy. Really enjoyed this whole video :)
ОтветитьListenin başındaki davulları yine metalci müdür çalmış hshshs.
ОтветитьLiked all the kits, except (surprisingly) the DW mahogany/spruce. I am always impressed with the sound of Mapex kits given their price!
ОтветитьPearl and Yamaha
ОтветитьWOW!! All the efforts on setting up, editing, mics and videos are TOP NOTCH! You guys are my favorite drum channel period. I wiil buy my dream kit from you guys one day. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьAgreed that the Sonor SQ2 Heavy Maple was the best kit but I thought almost all of them sounded great. The biggest revelation for me was the George Way Tuxedo Studio and the biggest surprise for me was the Mapex Saturn Evolution Hybrid. Almost all of the rest I would have expected to like. I think the one overrated kit here (and this is just like, my opinion, man...) was the British Drum Company Founder's Reserve Cherry. Perhaps I just don't like cherry wood kits. The DW Mahogany/Spruce, the big Broadkaster kit, the Ludwig Vistalites are all kits I'd go for and the Tama's sounded like Tama's which means they sounded great and bigger/meaner than their smaller shell sizes might have you think. Although I liked the Rogers, it sounded like more of a jazz kit in my opinion but would be a great kit to have on hand in a studio environment for the right project/drummer. The Pearl, although the kick and snare sounded great, I just did not dig the toms which oddly enough are always my thoughts when listening to/playing Pearl kits. Great video as always! I love your channel, your store is incredible and I can't wait to one day make the trek up there from South East Massachusetts but I want to do it when I'm prepared to spend money on drums! (I'm primarily a guitarist, songwriter and studio engineer but I do play drums)
ОтветитьRoger's sounded great.
ОтветитьThe Rogers, Gretsch Broadcasters, George Way and Pearl Reference Ones were my favorites. The Sonors were pretty cool too. I actively dislike the Vistalites.
ОтветитьVocês são únicos ! Sempre trazem novidades do Mundo da Bateria de forma profissional e divertida. Tenham certeza ,amamos vocês.
Abraços aqui do Brasil !!!
I thought that was Todd Sucherman in the thumbnail.
ОтветитьExcellent video, and drumming! I love the Yamaha Recording Custom!
ОтветитьGreat effort. May I make a constructive comment? Don't focus so much on the snare and cymbals, please, throughout the playing demos.
ОтветитьI listened/watched this video twice. I put my headphones on the 2nd time. I love something about each kit. However, the DW mahogany spruce was my all around favorite.
ОтветитьSizes on the Ludwig?
ОтветитьDude you need practice you play 5 years old 😂😂😂😂😂😂Why can't these guys find a normal drummer for a video clip? his playing doesn’t convey anything, maybe these drums are very good, but with such performances it’s a complete failure. pay a real drummer and make a normal video clip
ОтветитьDamn if I had money I would make that Rogers mine
ОтветитьSo, I love everything you do, however would it be possible for a review of unbreakable kits, eg, a kit for Keith Moon, then see what punishment they could/can take?
ОтветитьThanks again for another fabulousl video. Enjoyed them all perhaps with one exception. Meanwhile the Jelly Bean and the heavy maple Sonora were the coolest. Cheers!! Keep up the great work.
ОтветитьLoved them all, but as the owner of a 4 - piece (soon to be 5) British Drum Company kit, the Legend series, I lean towards the BDC Foundry kit. However, the Gretsch and Sonor are impressive, too. As always, great playing, guys. Thank you for your videos, and have a wonderful silly season. Cheers.
ОтветитьThe last Sonor kit has been a dream of mine to own, for the past year or two. I love the sound and the finish is so beautiful
ОтветитьAll I want for Christmas is a 24"x14" bass drum :( My 22"x20" is too long like a canon
Ответить„Best compact drum set“ 😂
ОтветитьAs someone who is barely 5’ 7”, I’d just like to say that 26” bass drums make me feel insecure.
ОтветитьThe 12x8 Rogers tom sounded amazing. Love the finish on the Tuscan Red Mapex and Cobalt Blue Fade Pearl, and both sounded good too.
Ответитьthe hi hat stand moving not good
ОтветитьLet there be drums! Yeehaa!
