As someone who never played the game I found the show lacking. Just another comedy action mashup with zero stakes involved.

It absolutely nailed it.
This is NOT A VIDEO GAME. It's a TV show and a story needs to be told with fallout as the backdrop.
And it doest that perfectly.

Guess what... Do you know what video games have in sparse? Drama and Emotions. TV shows need that drama, emotions, turmoil the inner fight, all of it in so much large scale, breadth and depth.

The world feels the same. That's all you can ask for. And they did absolutely fine.

Most video game chacaters are just very very one dimensional. To add dimension you have to add conflict and to do that you need to starting point. To do that you need to show relationship between two characters. That simply means DRAMA. Over do it, you lose the feel of the world, the urgency, the pessimism warranting action. Under do it, it becomes a whacky little story with absolutely junk script (most video game stories).

They have respected the source material very very very well. And they have added their own creative layers which blend in perfectly with the world of fallout. It's a job well done. And it goes full length and doesn't fall

It was like a children’s show with gore

I'm planning to watch this show. However, im a little concerned because i didnt play the game. Will that heavily affect my viewing experience?

Falls short?! I think this is the best video game adaptation/reimagining in a video game world. A lot of what we see in the first season is world building which is clearly something the reviewer fails to realise.

Hard PASS!

To me, one of the better aspects of Fallout is that its humor is not always in your face. The best kind of Fallout humor is when you don't expect it. You read a log, listen to a NPC and you realize how ultimately everything happens for a really dumb reason.

Compared to Resident Evil, which you gave a NINE, this review and score are laughable. Did the person who wrote this review know anything about fallout or the games before they wrote it? The whole point of getting sidetracked while trying to do the main quest is THATS WHAT HAPPENS IN FALLOUT ALL THE TIME. SMDH

I like this series so much because it kept everything as a surprise for me. Plus, 3 protag on their own quest, sounds a lot like GTa IV lol

If you spend too much time on the setting, which you criticize they didn't do, you end up with the pacing of The Rings of Power where it moves way too slow. Especially with the amount of "side quests" there are. They did a good job managing the show's pacing with interesting enough settings.

This show reminded me of the "Love and Monsters" movie

Dude clearly had the wacky wasteland perk to find that encounter with the chicken fu*ker

The only thing I am going to dislike is some of the people that play the game because you have to think about it. They want to go on for more seasons right. They are not going to stay 100% on the path of the game to be successful especially for people who never played the game to be entertained as well. My take on the show it was good. I want more of Fallout the show

Hollywood ruins Everything

The woman who wrote the newest tomb raider wrote the script for this. Jonathan Nolan has some writing credits but he did not write this or came up with the ending so I have hope

Fun fact - Did you noticed in the 5th episode, that the raider tags on the walls are same low poly kinda unfitting textures as they are in the game?
Thats what I call love to the source material!!
Or is it a bug @toddhoward?

At long last! I didn't regret binge watching the series alongside my friends awhile ago; highly worth it, alongside the humor tone and plot consistency. Little bit of research won't hurt anyone. ;-;7

❤❤❤❤Im not gonna spoiler it but i must say it, i was so nervous about the quality of this series cause im i huge fallout fan, HUGE, AND IM NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL. Its so accurate about every details and most important they explained very important things that you dont know playing the games, i just love it, i hope theyll make soon the second one ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
