This is such a great video! Other bad vids clutter the internet, too much “influencer” nonsense out there with cartoon-like instructions and wrong form. I’m really happy I found this… respectable Olympians giving rowing advice is all a simpleton like me could ask for. Just got my rower and very excited to learn proper form, build endurance and get strong. Thank you so much for this video!
ОтветитьSometimes I will do the curl technique for several strokes just to rest without stopping
Ответитьgood one
ОтветитьAmericans teaching us how to row? Perhaps we should reciprocate with marksmanship training... 🤣
ОтветитьI was going to a chiropractor for lower back pain. My job is physical, and it seemed like my back was always out, but sometimes it hurt worse. I asked him if there was anything I could do to help keep my back from getting misaligned, besides not doing my job (obviously). He recommended rowing to build up my back muscles. I got a water rower, and have been learning the technique, so I can't say if it will help or not, but it really is a good exercise that I wouldn't have tried otherwise.
ОтветитьSaw that shit about the native kid you all tried to shame for no reason, you are the problem. Problems tend to get fixed, financially you are all about to be ass f-ed by turtle island, in court. Kiss your money good bye.
ОтветитьWatching this video I have to ask where should the rower handle be when against your body, should it be around your abdomen area or higher, in the demonstration shown the lady instructor had the handle high up her torso, is that correct, just want to make sure I’m doing my row stroke correctly as I’m relatively new to rowing.
ОтветитьNICE VID! - I grew up in Princeton watching all the crews on the lake .. and 45 yrs later > I have been learning to row in UK + it IS the COOLEST sport - hearing the tips fr these guys really xcllnt Thank you [as I work on an erg too] .. I have learned that there is a rowing machine out there that ALSO has OARS - the ends into the locks so its REALLY GRT practice - but I am not sure who makes this .. ..
Ответитьgood explain. but why different hand grip variation is not good. i do kind one hand close to middle, like canoye, close grip, upside down grip. you can feel different muscle, lats, rear delts, just play with grip for 30% of your workout. 70% is correct, and 30% freestyle
ОтветитьAnyone can join, but it helps to be a top athlete in an Ivy league
ОтветитьДякую
Ответитьi am new in rowing what a piece of advice you have for me. i am 41🤓
ОтветитьGreat advice from Olympic rowers. I rowed at university (Western Australia) at (eventually) stroke position, for several years in the 1970s. It is a great sport, particularly as everyone has to work together. I coxed too. I am still good friends with the rower at the other end of the boat, bow position. I would love to row again but no opportunities where I live, however, I will soon get a rowing machine ! Best wishes from Japan
ОтветитьI'm very pleased with this row machine. My 15 year old had it put together in less than an hour. Machine works great!
ОтветитьI Love rowing!
ОтветитьWhat are someones thought s doing 25 cal in 2 min? Preparing for a comp
Ответитьthe difference in genetics in these video is craaazy….
ОтветитьI am afraid at 92 I am confined to a Concept 2 these days Those shots on the water bring back happy memories. What a good video. Wish Concepts had been around in the '50s.
ОтветитьFirst thing to being a rower: make sure you have some “Viking” lineage—everything else is secondary, lmao.
Ответить"A good, low impact exercise that anyone can enjoy"
Cuts to athletes at the absolute pinnacle of rowing ability looking like they are going to keel over
Just getting into rowing and this is a great helpful vid. 👏
ОтветитьI´m so glad to see many athletes! People should be more addicted to sports instead of drugs.
ОтветитьRudern muss man richtig können, dann macht es auch Spaß und man sieht Trainingserfolge nach einigen Wochen.
ОтветитьBro it ain’t that complicated 😂
ОтветитьI bought a rowing machine recently and I can already notice a difference. No need for a boat and water 😬
Ответитьdude is thick like a 7/11 sandwich ... lol
ОтветитьStep one, be 6'6" and covered in muscles.
ОтветитьFirst thing is to be built like that guy.
ОтветитьAn extremely white sport, it would seem…
ОтветитьThat’s pretty amazing! I watched people do this in the gym. Now I know they are all doing it WRONG!!
ОтветитьThose arms😮
ОтветитьThe action was different in the boat to on the machine. On the boat the hands performed more of an arc and finished in the lap in order to contact the water. On the machine the hands finished at the chest
ОтветитьLOVE the row machine. First time I used it, wasn’t aware of the settings 1-10, I found out later that I was gunning it at 10 for weeks, doing 10 minutes each time. Now that I know better to stay around 5-6, it’s literally like I’m doing nothing 😂 wish I owned one of these, and that the tension went higher hahaha.
ОтветитьThis has to be the number one exercise in the world - bringing both your strength and your cardio to a 10!
ОтветитьAwesome! Just the video I was looking for! thank!!
ОтветитьYou know I'm glad Harry found a decent hobby and profession to pursue after leaving the royal family and moving to America.
ОтветитьToo many edits. Did even show a rowing sequence to see how its done.
ОтветитьThat ginger is hot! WOOF!
ОтветитьMatt Miller is one of the most gorgeous men on the planet. Wow. Call me bro :P
ОтветитьEnjoy the Burn 🎉
ОтветитьDon’t lean back to far. You’ll lose efficiëntie.
Hamish bond: ‘hold my beer.’
А кто их научит, с таким прихватом ей не грести а пиво пить
ОтветитьThank you ! I have a machine and have been doing it wrong.😢 now so can correct my form
ОтветитьPro tip: don't do what I did and row 1 hour sessions the first few days I got my machine only to need a few days off because muscles I haven't used that much before were on fire lol
ОтветитьThat fan at the back with the red rim made me stare all the time looking for something important
ОтветитьThank you this was great, I always kept my rower at 10 to achieve the highest resistance but seeing that actual water is about 5 lets me know that I have another option
ОтветитьLegs, body, arms / Arms, body, legs
ОтветитьThis was very cool!!
