Is it legal in most states to use these arrows for hunting? There must be restrictions on them. 

So much garbage.  Tons of issues with this, both physics related and law related.  First, the physics stuff is already explained below.  The law stuff, if this was truly capable of "firing" a handgun round, why wouldn't it be regulated by the ATF and you have to fill out a background check like when you buy a real gun?  The answer is that it's just a firecracker, so the ATF doesn't care.  Garbage/gimmick marketing.

Why science?

If your shooting hogs and they are running far off then A) your shot placement is bad or B) you don't know where tho shoot them. Shots on hogs just behind the ear result in a DRT pig with any caliber on any hog. People on the internet seem to think hogs are made out of titanium and lead...
