ОтветитьI used trick nbr 4 , with the paper in the socket, today. Thanks ,it sure saved me a lot of time and frustration. Thank you.
ОтветитьI'm always OK with buying tools. Most of the time, they pay for themselves the first time I use them.
Ответить((( = Always Best CW = )))
ОтветитьThank you for all the great tips, I’m wondering what’s the brand name of your power probe, I cannot click on the Amazon link and I need one that is audible due to my vision impairment, If someone can let me know, I would appreciate it, keep up the excellent work.
ОтветитьWish your wife would narrate more. Love her haircut.
ОтветитьClayton Cagle is taking the channel to the next level
ОтветитьThere's also magnetic sockets and magnetic inserts for sockets to bolts from falling out
ОтветитьTip one: Wizard's pose! Make it a t-shirt!

Wizard: Thanks a million for producing one of the very best sites on the Net. Sharing your years of experience has doubtless spared thousands of car buyers immense grief. I myself would never buy a car without checking your YT channel. Congrats on a job well done!
ОтветитьLord Wizard,
Hail sir, from Illinois. I greatly appreciate the effort you put into your videos. I'm a new car mechanic (hobby status), and your videos greatly help. Keep on keeping on my brother. ⚔️🛡️
I've looked thru Wizard's video's looking for info on the Ford 500 and can't find anything.
ОтветитьI recently used the paper method to hold the bolts in after recalling it when I dropped one and didn't hear it land on the ground! Luckily I managed to retrieve it and the rest were drama free when removing an air box.
ОтветитьGreat tips. Thank you Wizard.
ОтветитьBeen a while since I've been here. Had to hear Car Wizard's voice to get my chi right.
ОтветитьThe FSM is your best friend.
ОтветитьMaybe you have mentioned this or not but I have to tell my favorite accessory that I have come to use as a mechanic/technician I started at a GM dealership in 76 but several years ago I started using my hunting headlamp while working on vehicles WOW I was like why didn’t I think of this before hands free light right where you are looking and working. If you haven’t try it
ОтветитьThat power probe is the greatest value of any electrical tool I ever bought! Insane utility. YES, most of it's functions can be done with cheaper tools /jumper wires but it's SO much more convenient with the PP that it's worth every penny!
ОтветитьThanks for the great content and pro tips. I only wish we had a shop like yours here in PA. Keep up the great work Mr and Mrs Wizard.
ОтветитьLegendary!
ОтветитьI like the new intro. But I'm going to miss the Wizard "smoking" and just like the Wizard I'll miss his hair.
ОтветитьThis channel is so interesting and very relaxing to watch.
ОтветитьSuper helpful tips! Great information for us do-it-yourselfers. Thanks for sharing these!
ОтветитьIs a fuel pump less stressed with the tank full or empty?
ОтветитьI'm an espresso machines technician and I test so many machines as well. We do share a lot of similarities on how to troubleshoot and repair the machines. I loved that rivet removal tip no wonder the first one I tried to remove was rough, I end up using a screw and a bot on that hole. Thank you for the tips
ОтветитьAlways appreciate learning how to get clean holes from the Wizards!
ОтветитьMan i managed to drive my old chrysler tc by maserati home after the fuel pump went at the gas station after a fill up. Was able to get it started the next day and stopping wasnt an option. Anytime i got below 2000 rpm or so the car would start to bog and die. Luckily was only a mile from home and only had to run one light and two stop signs before i was able to get it into the driveway before it stalled and died completely. Still have no idea why or how it started as i didnt know about tip #2. That car was a gremlin in itself but man some of the stories i have from that car are priceless. Good ol’ Italian lebaron.
ОтветитьI can vouch for those platinum wrenches. When I first started working in a shop, a coworker of mine said I needed a set of these and he was absolutely right. I use them all the time. Defiently worth $180 if not more
ОтветитьWho the heck is that guy with hair claiming to be The Wizard?
ОтветитьFANTASTIC pointers and tips!!!
ОтветитьOnce again I agree 100% on the o rings and always check from the source. The band sounds good
ОтветитьThanks for telling me about the relay test switches, they helped me diagnose a REALLY weird no start condition on a BMW X5. Found a burnt out fuel pump relay, replaced it and then it started and ran for 1 second and set 50 trouble codes. However, with the relay test switch in, the car ran normally and didn’t set any codes. Turns out the ECU was shorted out internally.
ОтветитьThis is the Best Video of 2022 so Far, Thank You!
ОтветитьI have a theory. This channel is actually a YT educational series. Mrs Wizard is a paid actress. This guy says he is so angry, so sad, so disappointed so many times each video, yet I have never heard him rasing his voice. Everything just seems, I don't know..out of place maybe? Idk I can't figure it out. However the investigation into my theory is active and ongoing.
ОтветитьGuys, have a quick look at the 1: 00 mark. Does Mr Cagle remind you of anyone in the video, just a wee bit? 😜
It's maybe just me, sorry.
Tip #7 - what's with all the Caddys? You're demonstrating on one, there looks to be an Allante behind you. I would have thought you'd banned them! LOL 😆
ОтветитьGreat music
ОтветитьDo fuse arrays! Customer states vehicle will not crank after installing new battery
ОтветитьDamn those 32min flew by
ОтветитьTRUE STORY: back in 2004, I owned a Pontiac Fiero v6 that was running lean and I couldn't figure out what was going on. Didn't have the time or energy to fix it so decided to take it to a pontiac dealership thinking they'd have quality mechanics. They diagnosed the issue was from a vaccume leak and would fix it for $750. They also said they were doing a special on their superior oil change and would do it that for an additional $35. Considering I was planning on doing an oil change already I said "sure, let's do it". I'd already bought oil that I left in the trunk but knew I could return it to Walmart.
Two weeks went by and no update from the dealer. I called and asked for an update. They said they'd get to it in the next day or two. Called two days later with same reply. Afew days later, I finally went to pickup the car. Driving it home I noticed alot of backfires and loss of power. It was literally running worse than when I dropped it off!!!!!
THIS IS WHERE IT GETS BAD. Opened the trunk/hood and saw 3 vaccume hoses that I could clearly see weren't hooked back up. They also used the oil in my trunk that I bought to do the oil change....WTF! To put the cherry on top, my engine was still running lean with glowing headers..... at that moment I knew I just got screwed! I called an complained about everything but as expected they denied everything and basically told me to pound sand. I swore that day to never think a dealer is better than any other mechanic shop. They charged me $750 and 2 weeks to diagnose, not fix an issue and use my own oil for their oil change. Thanks alot Pontiac of Madera CA.....POS.
dremel dentistry, the wizard way
Ответитьlike your videos mr wizard keep it up hello from sweden
ОтветитьIsn’t this a 2 year old video?
ОтветитьWould you not just replace the solenoid? Do they not do that anymore?
ОтветитьThanks for the tips, Wizard. These were all very helpful. With how simple many of these were, I can't hardly believe I had never thought of them but I hadn't. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Ответить"You took a 1.55 hole and blew it out and now it's useless. "
I bet this guy's a blast to work under lol
