Why Is Gerard Pique's Kings League Wacky and Genius?

so in short, King's league is a combination of Hockey, draft system and the luck card.
Pique just combine all the good ideas from other sports into football, that is it.

I feel that the criticism it is receiving from people like Tebas proves how threatened they feel by the kings league. I personally feel that they should lean into the differences more, and maybe even add some potential storylines a la wwe. I’m not saying that they should fix matches, but having some story beats would make it even more entertaining

Imo, King's League is like the WWE of Football. It's not sports, rather Sports Entertainment. 
Nothing wrong with it as the target audience seems to enjoy it.

Its great for viewers from 10 to 20 years old max, its too absurd for older people.

The fact that Tebas is triggered is the icing on the cake. I love seeing Madrid fans red faced.

It's a fun league. Will it take over the traditional game, probably not. But there is room for it to exist and grow. I don't like the joker card, you should have to use what you have, and maybe even allow the option the teams to pick two cards that they have to play together but the second card is negative to your team, like you could get a card for a penalty kick when you want but you also have to remove a player for 5 minutes. There's room for the league to get better.

What Im more concerned about people saying this is "destroying football" is that this could count as "Football 7", but it still dosen't call the attention of the "regular public" (people who dosen't even watch football or at least just play it for fun), instead, the KL is getting alredy a lot of attention and recognition in almost no time, it was since last year that was announced, and no, I don't follow the league and I have no intrest in it, but I must be blind to not see how this league got far that fast than minor football legues on many countries, not the future, but of course I'll be not surprised if this league expands to other countries with their own known platformers (YT/Twitch) presidents and still going on.

And for people saying that its just a "show", dude, football is a "kids game", with that Im saying that even kids since 4 or even 2 yo play football or kick a ball, they entertain playing football, of course its a show, it was always being a show, that some people take it very seriously is another whole story.

Regular football doesnt decide a draw by penalties ina regular legue, only in playoff. The other key for the kings league is the content creators that are the main atracctive to watch.

I follow the king league and believe me, is sooo much dynamic and faster than "normal futbol" and with very good players.
The final 4 game will be next week in the Camp Nou with 90k people with tickets all ready.
This is the future of futbol for new generations.
