I use the yoyo 2 as a daily stroller (as do a lot of parents in london). Although it’s been very handy, I’m considering changing to the Aer+ for baby #2. I love it’s easy one handed steering capabilities and it’s compact nature when folded (I drive a fiat 500). However a few things I don’t like:
- how small the seat is, often felt sorry for my lanky toddler as it didn’t look comfortable
- the recline is awful, both in how low it goes (or doesn’t go!) and the reclining mechanism itself which is very hard to use with the weight of an actual child on it. The aer+‘s (the newer model to the one shown in this video) recline looks much smoother to use and is a deeper recline
- I had to purchase the foot board extended and rain covers separately, which is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion considering how expensive the stroller is. Also, the mechanism of the foot board is weak and can’t really take the weight of a toddlers feet. I’m constantly pulling it up again.
- the lower compartment is essentially useless as it’s so small
- there is however a zipped compartment in the hood which is a significant size and is quite useful
- the handle is way too tall for my family to use. I’m Asian, and tall for a south asian woman at 5.5, so I can use the handle comfortably enough, however, the handle is much too high for my mother or anyone else in my family really.

Yoyo is the best ❤
Here in Europe people buy it and use it as primary and only stroller from day 1

Hello there from finland 🇫🇮 i have been watching your video since 2021 and really like your videos. They are very informative and helpfull for people who are looking for "the best stroller". I bought the uppababy cruz v2 and recently bought the joolz aer. And i really love them both. They are so easy to fold and unfold. Easy to carry. Easy to store. Seatbelt/harness is easy to use. Soft and tall seat and really sturdy strollers both of them. Thank you very much!

Do you feel like any of these two lightweight strollers might fare well in snowy/slushy streets??? I live in Montreal, Canada and that’s the reality a good 5-6 months of the year. On the other hand, I’m 5ft1 and I can’t fathom pushing around a full size stroller…. I’d like something that’s usable from birth!

Thank you for your videos. I was looking for a travel stroller and ultimately I went with the Joolz Aer, mainly because of your videos. I kept debating between the Babyzen YoYo2 and the Aer, but the most recent Black Friday sale on Joolz was way too good to pass up.

I also picked up a Joolz Hub + based on your recommendation for more day to day use. (A sturdy, reversible compact stroller, to be specific.)

But how can one say that the Hub and the Minu are a tad larger? They look huge to me. So you would not recommend this as a day to day city stroller? I would like to buy only one stroller, I see that many purchase two. I was thinking of the Joolz aer with the bassinet for a NB. Would you recommend against that then?

I love my yoyo2, it looks like the aer seat has a shorter depth in measure, & i had another compact stroller before my yoyo (colugo) , & sold it because of that reason! The depth in the seat was very uncomfortable for my baby, making her seat very weird & not comfortable at all. Just one reason for someone interested in the aer to look at, if thats not problem to you, otherwise the aer looks like a very nice stroller as well! The one fold is the #1 thing!

Does one have better sun protection than the other? It looks like if the Joolz has a wide mesh that may let sunlight in (when open), and if it's not open it does not provide as much sun coverage as the Yoyo. What are your thoughts?

If you ask me, do not buy the Joolz Aer. It is an extremely dangerous products, the break just sucks, it clicks but still sometimes is not on. I ended up chasing the stroller rolling on its own with my kid inside; we ended up in the hospital with 3 stitches.

We just bought the air and love it. It‘s super comfy for our nearly two year old and really practical for city life with hidden elevators in stations and shops. We just fold the aer and walk. But please don‘t recommend the leg rest. Our kid needs it because her legs are too short for the normal leg rest but it is a design fail! After installing it you can‘t carry the buggy with the strap anymore. The Joolz service Team recommends that we remove the leg rest each time before carrying the aer. That‘s ridiculous!

I love your reviews, actually real reviews. I find myself coming back to more of your reviews. Keep it up!

Ps. Would it be possible to do a review on the Elodie mondo?
I’ve been going back and forth from yoyo2, joolz aer and Elodie mondo.

I love how to discuss the practical and structural aspects rather than trendy or aesthetics. Once you have a child and are using it multiple times a day (therefore issues like fold and ease of use become paramount).

For my needs my fave travel stroller (after researching and testing out quite a few) is the Redsbaby Skip. Why?
Lightweight 6kg and neat small fold (chunkier than the yo-yo but smaller than the Minu) folded 27x45x50
Great good size seat - deep enough with a slight incline so child doesn’t slip out, 48 cm backrest, FLAT recline and adjustable leg rest - since my child often falls asleep in her pram this gave her a long flat area to sleep on so this was important to me.
Very sturdy and stable with accessible decent sized under basket.
Narrow frame width 45cm (can go through any turnstile at train station)
Excellent hood that extends
My child can get in and out easily by herself.
Comes with shoulder strap and soft drawstring case/bag.
Holds up to 20kg and my kiddo still fits in it at 4yrs old.

I did try out others (Yo-yo, MB Nano, Sivercross, Minu, Joie Pact, Cybex EasyS, Maxi Cosi) in the store but I found many travel strollers had either shallow seats or the backrest in the upright position was too “laid back” for my child or else she would slide forward (without the harness on). Many of them have very short seat backs (40-43cm) and only a minimal recline.
The other one I considered was the Easywalker which ticked most of my boxes too.
Disclaimer- this was a few years ago.

Hey, I love your videos with in-depth reviews and comparisons. I’d love to see one for the Joolz Aer vs. UppaBaby Minu. What are your thoughts between the two? Have seen you compare both with the Yoyo but not against each other. Love that the Aer has the same one hand fold as the Minu, is lighter and more compact for airplane overhead bins, seems to have a decent sized basket, and I really like the best zipper at the back that hides the straps for the recline system. It’s aesthetically quite appealing and can go from birth to 50 lbs like the Minu.

I’m not seeing any downside with the Joolz Aer yet (we already love the Joolz engineering quality from our full pram Day3) but really want to hear your technical comparison esp. on the maneuverability, stability, construction, fold and performance. Which one do you recommend more? Thank you!

When both strollers are in the most up right position is the joolz a little more straight than the minu? I feel like the minu is a bit reclined at the most up right position.

Thank you so much for doing these reviews. I found other more popular stroller review channels seems too sale-sy, whereas you just go for the facts and opinions based on experiences.

My daily stroller is the Xplory V5 and need a more portable "travel" alternative. Having been debating between Yoyo+/Yoyo2, Ant, Eezy Twist S, Minu, Jet, and Zigi. After my in-shop tests and your other reviews I was going to buy the Yoyo2 when luckily I watched this. Checked out the Aer in person and was not disappointed - the concept is the same as Yoyo but personally I found the material used to be better (e.g. memory-form like seat padding), plus lifetime warranty!

One thing I noticed is that the silver chassis seems to be only available with the Blue trim. As recommended I also included the leg support. I'm waiting for delivery and can't wait to try it out.

Joolz aer is way better then Yoyo. I the seat us huge. I was able to lug two toddlers in it. And also wheels are handling any terrain perfectly. And my 4 year old can easy sleep in it. But yoyo he outgrew when he was 2 year old .

Thanks for this review! It’s so helpful! I’m trying to decide between the Joolz Aer and the Yoyo+ (on sale now so even cheaper than the Aer). Which one would you recommend? The one hand fold on the Aer is what’s attracting me but the yoyo is just so popular for some reason. I really don’t know which one to buy...

I love your videos. I tested both and decided for the Aer! I love the one hand folding system! It's just great when you're traveling alone with your kid! Also, I felt that the Yoyo is less stable in curves and would easier tip over! One more reason was that the Aer is cheaper and has the raincover included.

We bought 4 Months ago the Joolz Aer because of your review and I love the stroller! I have to say, that I haven’t used a Yoyo, so I cannot compare, but the Aer is very sturdy and light at the same time. Love the one hand fold, as I often fold it and unfold it, when holding the baby with the other hand. Used it for a whole month practically every day and it takes a really small space in the trunk of the car. I still would have liked to have a way to fold it without having to take the bumper bar off. But still, Aer is pretty great!
