Wow im shitting my pants with the bass player joke😂
ОтветитьHello! With all due respect, I don’t think this video is solving my issue. I just bought a Warm Audio 8000 (tube mic) and it looks like it’s a very VERY quiet microphone. I’m utilizing an Apollo Twin Duo X as an interfase. When I push my input gain to a decent level (peaks at -4dBs and lowest -10dBs) I hear a static hiss sound. I try using Wave’s X-Noise plugin to first capture the hiss, then record with the plugin disabled to prevent monitoring latency, then I enable it back for playback, it doesn’t sound as pure as it normally would. I had a Manley Reference Mic before and never had this issue. I’m starting to wonder if the mic itself came defective or if it’s just the natural “analog” sound of it.
ОтветитьHahahaha. Bass player jab made my night good sir. Lol if only I can tag my bass player.
Ответитьhmm you forgot to mention, get away from anything electric.... turn off things, unplug them... record into an audio device tascam recorders, stuff like that...
Ответитьyou also have mic hiss
ОтветитьNice Tshirt bud, Love Death Note
ОтветитьWhat about guitar pickup hiss (when turning down the gain/presence and using a gate still doesn't fix it)?
Ответить"Kind of like a bass player". 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
ОтветитьGetting rid of my kiss
ОтветитьShots Fired... (Bass Player) lmao
ОтветитьExcuse me theres a link to that Reaper plug in? thanks
ОтветитьCan a noise profile be used on a mic at all times ? So i have no noise when using discord ?
ОтветитьGlenn your channel is a goldmine of tips! I sincerely thank you it's very helpful going back in your videos!
Ответитьnoise reduction microphone
Ответитьnice tutorial, Quentin Tarantino
ОтветитьFinally found a video that actually helps with a stock plugin! You're awesome mate!
ОтветитьWhat the hell is reaper. It's apparently the solution to the microphone hiss problem which is the subject of this video but i don't see anything mentioned about it in the video description. Am I missing something here or is it assumed the viewers know what this guy is talking about.
Ответитьlove the t-shirt
ОтветитьNever thought of that owo
ОтветитьGreat advice, but not really a tutorial...
ОтветитьGlenn I genuinely can’t thank you enough because holy shit this has helped my recordings sound SO much better THANK YOU
ОтветитьI do the same with IZotope. But it ends up sounding a little "dull" (?) because I think maybe certain points in the noise wave have the same frequency as the voice sound. But whatever. I fix it with an EQ. It sounds ok. But when you have to add compressor and/or limiter the fcking noise comes back a little bit.
ОтветитьWhy the fuck did 300 people dislike this??!?
ОтветитьTHANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found that Reafir gave me a delay in latency, as I use mostly use my mic to monitor vocals and record vocals. To fix that I set the FFT size to 1024 and theres just enough drop in quality that I can compromise
ОтветитьKind of like bass player!!! hahaha
ОтветитьSoooo... this is what Penn is doing when he isn't doing magic?
Ответить“Not very smart it’s Kind of like a bass player” pun intended?
ОтветитьAlot of these video tutorials always assumed we know what you are saying..
I dont know whether you are saying Reaper or Reefer..
Whether thats is a hardware, or software..
Oor how to use it.. .???
I am a singer and having a non-treated room.
Currently i use a USB condensor mic but it captures a lot of room noise(hissing sound) along with my vocals.
Is this an issue with mic or because of mic?
If, I plan to upgrade my mic to get rid of noise, is it a good thought?
Which mic do you suggest from the list below:
1. Lewitt 240 Pro
2. AKG P120 or P220
3. Se Selectronics xA1
Hey, I know this is years old but I just found it and can’t make out what you called the noise reduction software you named. Was it Refer for Reaper?
ОтветитьThis solved my problem! Thank you so much! 🤩
Ответитьhey spectre, is there a way to record without hiss at all?
or theres always going to be a little hiss no matter what
Thanks spectre
thats nothing. mine is a constant super load static. when i choose listen to this device i can hear it. super loud. and if i unplug my mic its still freaking there. nothing to do with any noises in my room. i have tried both front and back mic inputs. tried boosting mic, tried apo equaliser. nothing works. its always got static and its always quiet. if i boost it so i can actually hear myself there is static screaming in my ears.
its a new computer, new hyper x alpha headset. this is ridiculous. im better off recording on my phone for audio and sending it to my pc later. maybe tape my phone to my face. what the heck is going on.
Fellow Spectre!
ОтветитьThanks
Ответить“Not very smart kinda like a bass player” 😂😂😂
ОтветитьDelete this potty mouth ignorant
ОтветитьRIP bass players ;_;
ОтветитьMe and my guest use Samsom Q2U mics, and wear headsets with the volume turned low for remote recording podcasts. But whether I use Zoom or Squadcast, I get residual rattling background sounds "behind the voice" that do not show up on the sound file. Noise reduction doesn't work without also removing some of the vocal, which is not acceptable. I've used a noise gate in post too, but that doesn't help. How do I remove these sounds in Audacity? Or how do I eliminate them from recording in the first place? Note I always add compression and EQ in post, but I still get this occasional extraneous "rattling" or "egg shaker" sound. You sound knowledgeable, I subbed your channel.
ОтветитьNever knew Tom Hanks was a sound engineer.
