this is a long shot, but i am looking for which movie richard was in with paul wei ping-ao . . . . most likely from the 80's. . . there was a quote in the movie from paul wei where he said to richard something along the lines of, "blonde hair, green eyes. . . when are you gays going to take over the world....." or something like that dealing with green eyes, and yes gays. thats not a typo. any help would be much appreciated! thank you

I am a veteran of elizabeth street. Everyone in australian martial arts knows what I’m talking about. There was bob jones and richard norton. On saturdays Bob broke into the lesson sometimes to tells his stories or leap on our stomachs as we lay prostrate on the floor. Richard was a scary dude who gave sai sword performances. He was exceptionally strong built more like arnie swazenegger. i was also very taken in by the charisma of (then) probationary black belt Malcolm Anderson, exuding the mystery of the exotic and deadly zen do kai. I trained with people who became legends, later on, as we look back. I wasn’t a black belt but i was there for a over 2 years. That time has stayed with me ever since. There were some vicious fights took place in that dojo and many street ready fighters were graduating to black.

This might give away who i am if anyone has a good memory. I was very keen, i had won a series of fights such as the televised fights and had a the red dragon with additional circles and a black gee. Bob and Richard were very much into the theatre of martial arts. They even made their own street fighting man videos which are quite comical to look at now. So, in that crazy chinese movie style i will leave you all with this little story. I visited a taekwondo class in melbourne at some stadium near carlton. I was the only spectator. Then i heard some people taking seats directly behind me. I thought, why are these people sitting right behind me, so i turned to look and the first person i noticed was bob’s red long hair like a rock star, it was the 70’s rock star look. He had a small band of black belts with him. There was rivalry between zen do kai and taekwondo. I’ll tell what happened another time.

Bob drove around in a red 2 door GT falcon with a large dragon painted on both sides of the car. It was an awesome machine. One of the things i remember about bob Jones was his 100 yard stare. It was a deadly scary gaze taught in zen do kai classes - a weapon in itself.
