ОтветитьBonjour je suis Algérien bien
Ответитьyou stupid is a lot of more Raymonds in this posting
ОтветитьI believe you have a decimal point misplaced for gallons per day on the Guernsey. I assume it's supposed to be 4.8, not 48.8 ;)
ОтветитьFormer dairy farmer here, you didn't account for the weight differences between the breeds. Jerseys for example range from 650# to 1100#, while Holsteins run from 1300# to nearly 2000#, so about twice as many Jerseys can be fed on "X" amount of feed as Holsteins. But housing costs are the second biggest cost after feed. it costs 70~80% as much to house a Jersey as it does to house a Holstein, so housing twice as many Jerseys as Holsteins costs about 140~160% what it cost to house the Holsteins. On top of that, Holsteins produce milk with the lowest percentage of milk solids[butterfat, protein, etc.] So if the farmer is paid by weight of the solids, Jerseys are frequently better, if the farmer is paid for the volume of fluid milk Holsteins are generally better. The weights and productivity per pound of the other breeds vary as well.

ОтветитьThis video is nonsense. At least two and possibly 3 of the cattle shown were not of the stated breeds. The figures I suggest were pulled out of the air.
