Working on USCE also, resident of US. What are my chances for matching internal medicine residency? Thanks ahead.

Thanks for the awesome content! Im a non US IMG hoping to get into IM. I will be migrating to the USA (as permanent resident) in 4 years. My home country doesn't do IM residency currently and I wanted to know if there was another type of residency(EM, Anesthesia, FM) I can do that will reflect positively on my application towards a US IM match in the future.

Hi I’m an IMG from Indonesia, pretty down since I got a low step 1 score. My step 1 score is 217, YoG 2020, did 1 year of internship so no gap year, planning to have 2/3 in person USCE, do you think I stand some chance at IM this year? Thanks in advance

Dr. Lijia, since step 1 is pass fail now, starting from this and next match are programs going to change their step 1 filters? Does it put applicants with only a pass on their application at a disadvantage than others with a step score? Thankyou in advance.

Thanks so much for this video! So I graduated in 2021 from an international medical school. I haven’t had any recent USCE experience since the summer of 2021, but I’ve been trying to finish my steps. Should I start looking for more USCE or how can I manage studying for steps while doing USCE? Thanks!
