The Return of Yo-kai Watch

On one hand, its nice to see the series make a return.
On the other hand though, they ditched what made the first 3 games so unique and enjoyable: the battle system.
Now its just a final fantasy game

I mostly got 100% On ykw4 although it is a bit clunky to play not knowing the language videos, reddit, and google translate, help fill the gaps. Id definitely recommend it!

I played this game for so many hours in the unlocalized JP version, it was a struggle to understand but it was still an amazing game that is probably the best game I have played in the genre, this series is so underrated and hopefully the stars align one day

Genuinely don’t know a single person who was sad when this franchised died in the west like they threw out a bunch of games in a short period with some toys and an anime me and my friends just saw it as a Pokémon clone and we honestly just forgot it

I bought the japanese version, just so I could play it. It's very impressive and sad they stopped releasing the series in the u.s.

1. For anyone interested in playing through the game but not interested in using an emulator or midline your switch, I would recommend Google lens. It doesn't work perfectly, and unless you intend to translate every single line of dialogue you will miss out on the story, but it does give you enough to play through the game. A good chunk you don't even need to understand to play through the game, and even if google lebs isnt working, shintendo has a very good walk through of the game. I would 100% recommend it even if you play through it this way, as it has genuinely become my favorite in the series. 2. The yo kai watch series actually has another game that released after 4 called yo kai watch jam academy y, or yo kai watch gauken y, whose game play us similar to blasters but still different enough to be its own thing. I would also recommend this one using the same method as 4, since it is in my opinion as good as blasters 1.
