Glad you were able to beat the rain and get the hay done. Hopefully some day you can get a new clutch put in the 530, looks like it would be a very useful tractor.
ОтветитьAnother good video nice action shots lol good to see them young ones out to visit the farm and Justin running the tractor an such
Ответитьpretty field
ОтветитьNice video. We have a 492 haybine which is similar. We always ran our head raised up with the hydraulic cylinder for our cut height instead of dragging the shoes on the ground all the time.
ОтветитьThose 489 haybines extremely popular machine. We use a John Deere 1209 and we are the oddity. Good to know about the belt, Our John Deere also has a belt that runs the reel, it seems like ours is easier to get at. Good see your 530 in action, our 630 was cheering it on!! Justin (??) is getting to be good with the camera too.
ОтветитьGood buy on the new used haybine Alan.
ОтветитьI grew up with a 489. I remember replacing the wobble box more than once. The pan that the guards bolt on to was also bent since the machine was new and would bind the sickle bar. It was a struggle many years. A discbine is a big improvement but you'll likely need a bigger tractor than that John Deere
ОтветитьLooks like a pretty good yield Alan. Amazing what a little rain can do to spark that growth. Justin is learning fast and doing a good job for you.
Ответить👍👌❤️🇨🇦
ОтветитьYou are just making a slew of videos recently. Hope it pays off.
ОтветитьTks for sharing. Hay looked good. Really good. Was that about a regular count for bales? Who was driving the 1066? Out. I worked on my cousin farm he had a 530 D. That was the power house for the farm.
ОтветитьI said to the wife that you were going to buy that 489, and I was right! I was as happy as you were ! I love the old haybines! I started on a 467, I believe it was a 7ft cut, traded it for a 469, 9ft! Run it with a 620 JD, and a 770 Oliver diesel! Loved both tractors! I'v run into a lot of things cutting hay, even naked people, finally they had nowhere to hide and they were about 8 streakers going across the hay field!🤣! Wait until you get a skunk caught in the rollers and have to pry it out!🤣! Justin, you the man! I was helping my Dad running equipment at your age!
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьI know all about that belt. After 4 years of dry summers. 18-21. I had a terrible time cutting the first field in 22. Finally occurred to me that the belt was loose. My adjustment is getting short. I should probably get a spare belt.
ОтветитьGreat video, wish I could smell the hay. Looks like the kids are having fun.
The fawn story made me remember. We were in a doctors parking lot last year almost in the middle of where Lansing and East Lansing meet and two young deer (still had their spots) came out of the trees at the edge of the parking lot and started drinking water out of a puddle close to the edge of the pavement. Almost couldn't believe it. Got pictures too. Hope you didn't find the fawn. Thanks for showing them hauling the hay. Justin just keeps getting more experience all of the time and learning well how to measure with his eyes.
Old Case tractor to the rescue
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьAnother good video, Alan! Noticed you kept a bale on your 3-point for a counterbalance when loading bales on the wagon. Always enjoy your videos (although, at one point there I was seein' a lot more "green" than "red." But that is a sweet little (and no doubt economical) Johnny. Why use "more tractor" than the job requires? Also: Farm Kidz! Ain't they GREAT? If all that energy can be properly "channeled" and encouraged, our Nation has reason to hope. God bless America (as, no doubt He has in the past)! btw, still no Thank$ option.....
ОтветитьYou should haul a lot more rock in that swamp road to build it up
ОтветитьIn my day everything was square bales the good old days of sheared pins and untied bales. I never saw round bales til your channel we never would have a place to put them. Great video. Tim ❤
ОтветитьAlways nice to have enough feed for the cattle or any other livestock that we as farmers keep. Sure sometimes the feed can get a little mature then we like for the dairy cattle but at least second crop will be a little younger. I can remember one year we had the weather was rainy and first crop was a little maturer then we liked but strange thing was the cattle milked very well with that feed. Awesome video always cool to see older equipment still being used. Sometimes I wish companies still made equipment like that.
ОтветитьGreat video as always
ОтветитьGreat video it's great see the family working together. Reminds me of when I was a kid now i do it all alone. What percent moisture would you guess that hay at.
ОтветитьTry a piece of window screen in front of your radiator. You can just blow the stuff off, and it doesn't get stuck in the radiator. You just have to do it more often, but you stay on top of maintenance. Great video!
ОтветитьI thought the kids or someone got a little ford tractor a few years ago? How come you don't use that
ОтветитьMove right along with that haybine. Good to see people who can live without a discbine
ОтветитьThose haybines are tanks they run forever I know I am 50 years old and my dad and his lifetime only went through two
ОтветитьKEEP CLOSE EYE on rollers ; the slotted drive bolts loosen and run out of time !!! common problem from the start
ОтветитьEverybody loves good hay, enjoyed watching the video greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
ОтветитьEnjoyed your video think your right keeping the belts tight. Just my opinion belts stretch need be replaced but keeping the right tension makes a world of difference. Have a great day sir.
ОтветитьWe had a 489 darn good machine outlived a couple owners just sayin 😢
ОтветитьAh! This one warmed my heart. Love seeing all of the neighborhood kids having a ball out in the field where the work of the nation is being accomplished. Justin, you're doing a fantastic job. I'm sure you're a real encouragement to your parents. The hay looks beautiful. I'm taking a refresher course in patience as I wait for a weather window to finish up second crop which is now getting a bit ripe. We are in a pattern of every-other-day rain. About 3"/wk. Oh well, I'm getting many little jobs done around the shop as I wait. God is blessing all of us richly. Keep up the good work!
Keith-
June grass
ОтветитьGlad you got that bottom done. Hope you've managed to dodge the disastrous flooding in Mn, Iowa, and SD.
ОтветитьI love your videos. I learn a lot. Thank you for your time.
ОтветитьThat belt looks like it is the original because of the paint on it!
ОтветитьThank you Jordan for your commentary. Loved this video.
ОтветитьJordan is a great narrator.
ОтветитьGreat to have children that will help out great bunch of kids 😁

ОтветитьHappy Fourth of July even to all your viewers God bless take care and stay safe
ОтветитьToday is 7-5-2024.u r behind.
ОтветитьGood Stuff.
ОтветитьNice haybine 👍. I remember when we upgraded from a 477 to a 492 haybine, it was like a Cadillac compared to the old one. I like those old chain balers, I just wish the bales weren't so long
ОтветитьNice video I’ve been watching ur videos for a couple years now I look forward tor ur videos what was ur 4th of July like
