What little I saw of Steve Martin's Clouseau was enough for me to avoid the first movie and regret that a second was made. While watching the movie, "Chocolat", I thought that Alfredo Molina in his character of the mayor in the movie was one step away from nailing Clouseau. Kevin Klein (who was in Steve Martin's version) would also have been a better Clouseau than Martin.
