Is Hypixel BAD for Minecraft?

GOtta love that late night drunkAF rambling posting on year old vid comments. My bad. Manacube is a great server, and the players and mods there are very nice and helpful. I did get permanantly banned for posting a meme video, but to be fair I never once read their rules, and didn't know not to post web links.
That being said, the fact that I wasn't warned, muted, or temporarily banned, but permanantly banned and removed from their Discord leads me to belive someone there had something personal against me. The guy who banned me is the one admin who keeps getting in trouble for various reasons, so I suspect it was malice and not a normal ban.
All pay to win servers suck, and Manacube is no different. It's the people there who make it worth playing. It has a great community, aside from the troubles I had as I mentioned.
Getting drunk AF before doing my ban appeal was probably not the best idea, either.

The Hypixel staff team are a bunch of dipshits too. I got false banned a couple years ago for a year. It didn't even tell me why I was banned so I had to put in a ban appeal to find out and they just said It said I was cheating, not what cheat. They asked to see my game files and other shit and I showed them all the proof they wanted, and they just said "Don't care, the anti-cheat doesn't get things wrong" and instantly closed the appeal. I tried to make a forum post calling it out, it got deleted within 5 minutes.

Hypixel didn't create any of the problems you describe.

That's why I don't even think to make any servers and I am a minecraft dev. I have some unique ideas and I don't make them because of that, I wish there could be a list of servers that moderators of the site can rank them of for all and one for new servers only that it would maybe solve it.

This is why I think Content creators are the only ones who have a CHANCE to run bigger servers. I personally have tried to bet on goodwill and completely focusing on the gameplay

Even though Hypixel is doing really well, most of the games feel so dead or so lifeless compared to Bedwars/Skyblock, since their also the most populated these days, so it feels very limiting not being able to play like 90% of the selection or maybe I just grew older, I don’t know.

I never liked hypixel because of how modded it is. All this UI and gamemodes that it's no longer Minecraft, it's more like gmod. I prefer playing like how Minecraft was supposed to be played, survival + building.

single player is just more fun

I wish Microsoft stepped in and tried to stop hypixel from monopolizing the market.

Minecraft is now the popular get popular but the non famous stay not famous and hypixel by itself it good but other servers are just copying everything it not fun 😢

even with all this, i think hypixel still misses one crucial thing that others servers can have an advantage over it, and that is its location, the server's located in canada iirc which makes it really hard to play for anyone thats not in north america and almost unplayable for people in east europe/asia/oceania, i live in brazil and i already get like 140ms ping and above which makes playing some gamemodes not as fun, so its much better for me to just play on some brazilian server where i get 20ms ping, and brazil alone already has such a huge playerbase, if you sum it up with the rest of south america, europe, asia and oceania its such a huge amount of players that hypixel is missing on and for which local servers can thrive with, not to mention that for example brazil's servers sometimes have gamemodes that at least ive never seen in any other foreign server, like the classic hunger games gamemode, which is kinda like survival games but with a lot more stuff and its very popular here in brazil

we can always try to make a real voting website without being paid (although u do need hosting and stuff) it would still be impossible by small servers since the biggest servers with the highest amount of players would be on top (because of the giant player base) but its impossible since hosting

if he modding community doesn't grow in minecraft then this video will ve relevant forever

another reason people chose hypixel over other servers is because if you spend 1000 hours on hypixel skyblock you know that your 1000 hours of work in that game wont be deleted in hypicel you know that you are safe playing on other servers with bedwars skyblock skywars or other minigames like that people cheat alot the economy of other skyblock servers could be way worse than hypixel's because smaller servers woudnt care about p2y or duping

As a server owner I do think hypixel is good but the main problem with it for the multiplayer community is that it puts a unreachable standard for starting server with people who have a attention span of less than 1min often leading the smaller servers to just becoming crapy knock off version of the larger server with zero Originality causing the servers to die as the owners loose motivation and energy and the hole process resets all over again...

problem is that Minecraft is poorly monetized so there's no incentive to make good products outside of passion. It's super difficult to monetize children, in the first place, and taking it to the digital world with 3rd parties makes it almost impossible.

Everyone seems to be aware of Wynncraft, but I personally like Shotbow, where they have a game mode similar to 50v50 bedwars but without the void, with 4 teams, with over 50 classes to choose from each with unique perks either made to collect resources faster or pvp skills, and instead of breaking the 3 beds once you need to break one endstone 75 times to kill the team. There are no finals, the game finishes once 3/4 ends tones are dead.

i play single player since 2009 or something... i try survival in multiplayer and are banned for nothing, soo, i back to my own world and fuck the only shit hole, i play with few friends when they want, but mostly they just play for a few days make little house and drop from ever... i still making farms, structures and redstone enginnering soo on

We all know it is, if hypixel were to launch the way it is right now, it would get ZERO players, it's just that it became the most popular, therefore they can just go with adding tiny updates every 2 years that just make it buggier

I think minecraft multiplayer isn't as popular as it once was.. I recently started playing minecraft again and I'm having more fun play the all of fabric 6 modpack then playing multiplayer..

My main issue is the annoying, entitled, and toxic children thinking the world revolves around them.


If I could slap those brats that think they're so right about everything maybe I'll enjoy it more..

With the new recent chat ban system I'm more inclined to stay away from multiplayer, let those idiots fight it out and get themselves ban, I'm the meant ill enjoy modded single player peacefully understanding how modern industrialization works.

Nad in my personal experience multiplayer is fun for a short while then it gets boring.

With how toxic some players can be, I really don't care if this once popular servers start to die.

A server named "SonOyuncu" in Turkiye had more than 15 thousand players 2 years ago. Now it can't even reach 1500

Honestly the best bet might be for Microsoft to create an in-game way to find and promote servers. I think there's only so much you can do trying to place down rules and enforce them, but if servers were to be promoted in-game, Microsoft could weed out some of the shady voting and player count purchases. With this there's still the problem of would Microsoft be able to moderate a list like this well, but if it beats out shady server voting sites then it might be the best option
