I had a question about a few different options for TTs. I am currently between the Audio Technica LP60x, Audio Technica LP3, and the Fluance RT81+ as I am a beginner and am not looking for something to completely break the bank. I understand most of the differences in these I would say but was wondering what you would suggest if you were to buy one starting from scratch.

So it I get the BT version, I don’t have to use it as if it as Bluetooth version? Does it come with the cables to do do? Great review! Also, it’s for my 24 year daughter, that has never had a TT

i don´t understand the concept of starter or beginers system ,i would think the better it is , for starters or already with lot´s of years of using it(the format), it might make a person having the first time a worst image of sound making it not wanting to use the format for being not happy with the first equipment he had, i had the luck of starting with a pioneer turntable from late 60´s as the receiver i got ,it is still good for todays turntables or amplifiers this if compared with the first two models refered here not being half the quality of a late 60´s turntable, a PL-43 or 45 not sure now but my second was my fathers early 70´s turntable that i still use today not finding a better one refering to the Pioneer exclusive series P3, it´s a pitty my father having sold it´s two power amplifiers and pre only keeping the speakers to his home studio assembled in 1970 with some altec lansing first similar to the pioneer´s exclusive 2401twin from his exclusive system ,having also a reel deck ,i think it was a studer or AKAI , the stuider was in the studio so not sure and having received all he had last year because he passed away today i have a lot of good devices from me and his ,my family was very musical ,even my grandfather had a very good system in mono a tube amplifier with two huge speakers and a garrard turntable, all was 70 watts of power but a powerfull 70 watts sound ,this compared to the late 80´s or 90´s amplifiers i tried, the Fluance seems better and the cartridge is very similar to what pioneer was using in 79 to 83 plastic frame built by CEC turntable common to other known brands, including CEC cheaper line at the time and audio-technica today is releasing turntables but not their quality we were used to in the 70´s, and Pro-ject around 1.000€ as such a low quality ,Ortofon in the past use to be the same as assured quality ,today it´s a more conventional brand having what i call bad cartridges and stylus the OM wich today are bad the similar cartridges in early 80´s released with Dual turntables some having dual branded in the side of the cartridge were very good ,high quality sound, like the newer debut pro-ject it as a very bad sound ,how can you say it´s good ,maybe conected to a very expensive amplifier and speakers,i talked to a guy who was selling is pro-ject turntable ,tthe model that as only the shape of the turntable carbon fiber arm a engine put aside the turntable itself with manual change of speed ,our hands even after being cleaned releases a protective coat with a bit of fat ,so changing belts with our own hands it makes it at correct speed till the third maybe change of speed this also with a tube pre-amplifier ,amplifier and speakers from pro-ject he sold everything looking new a few monthes ago by 250€ ,if it is good he would have keep it instead of buying a 76 technics TURNTABLE model with a new acoustic dimension integrated amplifier now known as NAD and some rogers speakers (good ones), for 250€ looking new, this from the origianl owner, those that don´t have earth cable most of them need a earth cable, a friend of mine bought a project and had a constant hum with a improved earth cable it disapeared ,he had the same turntable refered before with a sumiko oyster the sound was not bad but not good also, the 76 technics cartridge 207C is far better than this new one by sumiko or the 2mred till the bronze which is already nice are very bad cartridges compared to older and cheaper ones, having also the doble or triple hours of use if not more ,i bought a grado recentelly for a promotional price and when going to get it from the store i look at the stylus and ask the owner(a friend of mine) if the tip had fallen ,to what he replied ,"no,today all are like this", to resume any turntable who does not sound a lot better than a good cd player is not good, only had a pre-amplifier from technics for my mc cartridge in 79, still have the turntable and the pre-amplifier, the SL-1000MKII, now i´m using the AT-art9 ,not as good as the older one but already usable

No way I would include any Angel's Horn product on this list. Nor a Victrola. This video is definitely targeted at vinyl newbies.
