Nice video but you forgot to mention that before the Turkish occupation of the North Part the Population of the whole island was something like 78% Greek 18%Turkish and the rest others .Right after the invasion Turks brought settlements from Far east Turkey to settle in North part in an attempt to change the population analogy.Also you forgot to mention that they pushed the Greek population to the Shouth part .

I am a Turkish Cypriot and obviously island is full of great varieties when it comes to food. One of my favourite is a Dolma which is a Turkish dish from the mainland of Turkey but Turkish Cypriots have they are own versions to it. Dolma means “Filling” in English. We do it with vine leafs but also artichokes, courgettes, potatoes, onions, aubergines can be used by filling them with the same ingredients. These then put amongst the vine leafs and cooked together. This meal then can be complimented with Turkish yogurt or cacık which is a yoğurt, cucumber , dry mint and spinach mixed side dish. When it’s done properly this is one of the best meals you can eat, never mind in Cyprus, but probably in the world. I am lucky , as my mum is the best cook🤣🤣🤣. And her dolma’s are the best👍👍👍
