Who else cant stand Fritz?

The only thing wrong with this movie is the annoying brat fritz. It's such a great film, yet it is tarnished by such an annoying, unlikable character that makes the movie hard to enjoy in parts. The whole tension between Ernest and Fritz is annoying although it's a crucial part to the story. Wish the writer would have pulled back a bit on that part of the story as well as Fritz as a character. With such an ugly unlikable character such as Fritz, my favorite part of the film is when Ernest decks him right in the face. Goes to show that intelligence and innovation during this era were second to age, misogyny, and the man who can swing harder and take things faster. Feel like it would have added to the weight of the movie if a character was lost, or killed off either by pirates or by the storm, and could you guess my runner up for being killed off? You guessed it, Fritz!

This is the best version, the original one, off of which to make a remake. The characters are all great, including Frances the youngest boy. Wants every wild animal he finds as a pet. Why as a kid I wanted to spend hours in The Swiss Family Robinson treehouse replica in Disney World, because fascinated by the beautiful comfortable set up they had built while on the island. One of the best family adventure movies ever made. This video is a summary of the film.

Loved watching this at my grandpas house when I was younger. I was probably 10 years old. Close to 2000. I just remembered what it was called after thinking about it for a week. Definitely one of my favorite movies. 😊

When I was younger, there literally was no better film for me (and my brother) to watch! Brilliant film! So incredibly action-packed!!! When my family first got a VCR in (something like 1981 or '82) our family used to use every Friday as "Movie Night" and our mom and dad (thank goodness both are still with us!!!) used to rent this nearly ever Friday - thanks to my brother and I wanting back then, to watch this film over and over and over.....amazing film! Amazing ending!!!
