How you get the main motherboard out

My idrive knob is not working at all, need technical support please

Not working in my 2011 BMW 535i after my car was detailed. I can scroll up/down and switch menus by using the navigation buttons BUT pressing down on the middle joystick to select an option do not work.
- This video show that you can navigate but you did not press. Can you press down and it work?
- I found a replacement module on eBay $80.00. Shall I buy?

Going to try this having the same problem knob will move to scroll up and down but won’t click “OK” or can’t go back and Buttons Not Responding
