I think the term "Hero" is taken out of context in Indian films. An actor is not a hero by default! You can have superhero films or you can have films that are documentries of a real life hero's life. Shahid is right in saying he played a flawed character, the story represented what happens in real life, women do tend to fall for their abusers and can't seem to break out of that circle. Also sometimes the abusers themselves are battling something deeper while their heart may be in the right place. Regardless of how Kabir Singh ended, the character was not hero. It was a real life representation of a guy who was battling inner demons. Shahid portrayed that character flawlessly.

Always enjoy hearing from Shahid! Great actor, so self aware and so in touch with reality.

Actually the thing about Kabir Singh is that Shahid has played it brilliantly with so much conviction that we are not able to separate the character from the person and we are blaming him for being thw character.

I liked the interview. But it would be nice if the interviewer would wait for the interviewee to finish the answers. Let Shahid finish his answers. I am surprised he didn't get annoyed.

I remember seeing Shahid in a roundtable maybe 10-15 years ago and thinking this guy is fake which was sad because I really liked him in Jab we Met etc. and somehow thought he was a good human being - but after that roundtable, I was like maybe he is just a good actor who can project that he is a good human being. Cut to his recent interview with Anupama Chopra and this one which makes me realize he indeed has his heart in the right place. As he himself admits. he went through a phase of trying to fit in and trying to figure out who he was and what he stood for. To now, when he is do comfortable in his own skin, his choices, his life - so relatable because I guess most of us go through that phase of trying to fit in when we are unsure of ourselves to the point where we know and accept and own who we are

This ass O inteviewer keeps interrupting and completing sentences. Also has mental stability issues, twitching and scratching like a monkey, eager to interrupt. He can't take an opinion different than his own. Very irritating voice. Shahid ke chakkar mein bandar ko jhelna pad gaya. Someone needs to check what is in his coffee mug. Funny , especially when he had to gulp down his words on how they invaded privacy and leaked the Shahid Kareena video and then laughing about how they gave 500Rs to sell some one's privacy - And he has no qualms about going after the Kabir Singh scene. What a hypocrite.

KabirS is arrogent like devdas, but dev is a kind person and his and paro love is so pure and innocent.. And that was not a slap, he gave a mark of his love, also paro and chandurmukhi have some character and selfsteem, but here the female character is totally disaster, the movie is hit , because there is no doubt that now the majority is sooo poor and all they have is just is money !!!
