I have always been the one to remind others about the faithfulness of God. I've been through some tough times and He has always been there for me. This last year has really knocked me down and it just won't let up. I have forgotten how to have faith in God, but this song reminds me that my level of faith doesn't have any effect on His level of faithfulness. Praise God!

2023 has been the first year that I had to go forward in life with out my son. In November 2022 my son took his life he would have been 34 years old this year. If it wasn't for the Lord, i dont know where I would be. Gods so faithful.

I lost my oldest son in 2021 to covid. Then my youngest named his father as his sexual abuser.
It has been a difficult few years.
Today was the hearing for continued protection for my youngest.
I cried out to Jesus and he was there faithfully.
God's perfect timing to hear this song on such a day as this.

Although I much prefer the original, I understand the change in the bridge and I think it fits the radio better. I also think there is so much more to this change than what meets the eye. This is a different song than what we'd normally hear from you. On the surface, it's a song of tragedy and pain, but ultimately, it's a desperate heart crying out about God's faithfulness. It's a broken soul with nothing left to hold onto but the Savior.
I've been there.
My family was deeply struggling.
My home was no longer my refuge, my safe space.
My heart was crushed.
My soul gasped for peace as a drowning person would gasp for air.
All the while, my heart, my soul, cried out about God's faithfulness and love.
But that cry was not loud.
It was very soft and broken.
I think it was one of the most beautiful things I've experienced.
To lift a "broken hallelujah" as The Afters sang all those years ago.
There is a certain beauty in a soul that has been broken again and again, yet still cries out to the Lord.
Still loves.
Still trusts.

My world has stabilized again.
My heart and soul have begun to mend.
Home is safe again.
My heart and soul still cry out.
My cry is still broken.
But it is not soft or quiet.
it is more bold, more sure.
It is the cry of one completely convinced of God's faithfulness and goodness.
When my world broke into pieces, He was there faithfully.
I may never be the same man, but I'm a man who still believes.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my mother 3 weeks after we found out she cervical cancer. Prayers for peace, strength and comfort for you. You will have your good days and bad days. It never really heals you just learn to live without her. It's hard trust me, my mom was everything to me but here recently I have learned that God takes things and people away that we depend on so that we have to solely depend on Him.

It's been a rough year it almost took me down JESUS, however you remain faithful to me....

We had to bury my 2nd daughter's first child.....she was 19 and died the day after her 19th birthday (Jan 17, 2021) this and the song that says....send me a melodious sonnet the angels sing above brings ger to mind....she's in heaven with our Lord and Savior then I smile a happy 😊 smile....saved at 7 or 8
