Children of shame are the offspring of people sentenced to death in China. This documentary shows the lives of these innocent children who are shunned by society and their benefactor over the course of two years.
We are hopeful to bring a follow up on some of these kids who are grown ups now. We will keep you posted.
I just cried the whole time, till the end of the video. It’s so heartbreaking. Those children, I feel for them
Ответить😊The Lady Running The Orphanage Should Be Awarded By The Government Of China
ОтветитьI guess they're not up for adoption because if the parents are to be pardoned it would be much easier to trace their whereabouts
Ответить天哪。。 不是都贫穷的问题 。 保护您的家族。
ОтветитьI definitely didn't expect to see them practicing Miss A. I love that! Dance is such a freeing activity. I hope all of these children can find happiness.
ОтветитьGrandmother ghang has a very special place in heaven! ❤❤
ОтветитьThis woman is a gift from God.
ОтветитьMassive documentary. Full of emotions 😢 pain . I hoped the lady got an award
ОтветитьUnimaginable trauma all around...in those innocent children specially. Heartbreaking!
ОтветитьIf the orphanage has the rights to the children, why don't they take the 9 year old and her little brother back? At first I thought it was strange/uncomfy that an entire family was there to see them off to the orphanage but wouldn't take care of the kids, but seeing how they are now that the girl is back, I wonder why the orphanage wouldn't take her back and make sure she has access to schooling and isn't forced to be a caregiver for a baby/her grandparents. She was sent to work in a factory. Surely the woman from the orphanage would react poorly to that.
ОтветитьThe way that the family of the two siblings responds to the entire thing. They blame the government for giving the father the death penalty and making his children orphans and forcing them out of the "good graces." It's almost like they're more upset about him getting the dealth penalty than they are about the children being out on their own. They act like the only option was the dad to be left to raise his kids (which they'd prefer?) or the dad executed and the kids made social pariahs. They don't seem to realize that the dad shouldn't be raising those kids either way and THEY should be.
ОтветитьI don't come from Asian culture, so perhaps I misunderstand the honor problem, but it seems much more communist to me to think the "village" could help to raise such children to become good, upright, productive citizens IN SPITE of their parents. Dooming them to this fate sight unseen (with all the accompanying complications of growing up with no support network) seems to be a bit individualist in my opinion, as well as fatalist.
Ответить"Wouldn't you rather go to school?"
"We don't have any money": while crying.
This broke my heart. Why did the Grandmother pull this little girl & her brother out of the orphanage where she could at least have had a fighting chance at a relatively better future !!!? Is her working 10 hours a day at a factory at only 9 years old, then cleaning the house, farming & looking after her younger brother truly better?? 🤦🏻♂️ 😢
Grandma zhang is definitely beyond deserving of the nobel peace prize!
ОтветитьI hope this SAINT OF A WOMAN receives the Nobel Peace Prize, this documentary has changed my attitude of China being a country of evil people to a country of people that demands respect for themselves and others, realizing that ALL THINGS, SITUATIONS, & PEOPLE ARE INTERCONNECTED. This is my prayer that "Sun Villages" remain committed to helping the innocent children 🙏
ОтветитьWunderbares Projekt!
ОтветитьThose un-supporting families must be thick not to think that it was not the Childs fault for being born into that family under those circumstances!
ОтветитьHeart breaking 💔 😢 I Hope the lady gets the Nobel Prize 🏆 she and those little kids deserve it.
I wish from the bottom of my heart that this poor little souls will never suffer again and I pray for them to be healed from this horrible loss and pain. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I hope she does win a Nobel Peace prize, she deserves it for sure. ♥
ОтветитьAnd thes kind of organisations are not being helped by Chinese govt - why ?
ОтветитьBut y these children are not allowed for adoption ..
ОтветитьRespect to the lady who have such a big heart to give a decent life to these children.
ОтветитьThat mother is making it more Traumatic for the child. Get her OUT of there if she has to act PSYCHO 😞😭
Ответить❤ to sun village mother💫
ОтветитьNot allowed to be adopted? How cruel and pointless! 😢
ОтветитьThey are traumatizing those children screaming and crying and saying you’re father is going to heaven they shouldn’t do that in front of the children
ОтветитьThe 90yo grandmother who was crying bc she had to send her grandchildren away broke my hearttt
ОтветитьWhy are the Chinese people treat the childrens like dirth. The children did not do anything to any body. I do understand that it is a culture thing. But it is dom. revenge attacks etc. are not of this century, please do not border the children with those things. you are making their live very very said and very very heavy. Children of Shame ; What is that??!! The woman who runs rhe orphanege , she is a hero. Those people who are shunned the children, They need to call them selfs people of shame..
ОтветитьThat grandpa who moved to be near his grandchildren, left his wife. Man this guy.
ОтветитьTests are running down my face as i look at these 😇 souls
Ответить😅 I couldn't bear to watch this heart-wrenching video. It was a familiar scene... but they suffered more than I did. My childhood was during the political movement of “Cultural Revolution”, when my parents were forced to go to a remote rural area to be farmers. My father was labeled a bad guy and I was not allowed to call him dad. During those years, I experienced a childhood without parental love and felt like an orphan. My brother and I were very sick and had no one to take care of us. I grew up in hostility from others and was filled with shame. It wasn't until eight years later that my parents returned to us.
ОтветитьThe death sentence is not really a punishment for the convicts as it is for the one's left behind! There's more WISDOM coming from the lips of the children than politicians!
Ответить"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree" applies ONLY when the children grow up with their parent(s)! The Chinese Government failing to recognize that is truly steeped in dense attitudes of the middle ages more like superstition.
ОтветитьOh poor children 🥲 they're stronger than many Adults. May they be well
ОтветитьI was so touched by your documentary .The psychological and emotional trauma that these children have will be with them for a long time. Loving ,caring, and a supportive environment which this village provides is commendable . Mrs.Zhang deserves to be given a Nobel Prize for what she is doing. I like to see your updates from grown up children .
ОтветитьCan’t threaten death penalty for mental illness and I don’t feel she should have gone to jail at all killing her husband if he beat her least cps in the states says there trying for reunification and the we need harsher punishments for violent reoffenders here but that’s crazy poor kids I’d adopt some of them
ОтветитьWe prob do need more people to adopt in the us but why can’t they adopt these kids?
Ответитьthis is so inhumane.
ОтветитьWhat did the kids do to be rejected by their own family members? I don't get it! They'd rather keep their image clean to the eyes of others than saving the innocent kids
ОтветитьI so look up to Mrs Zhang, despite being a prison guard, an occupation that attracts a lot of narcisstic and power hungry people, she is an absolute saint. These children all touched my hearts immensely. Some of the translations weren't on point but got the main message across. I also found it highly ironic how people find it shameful to be associated with a death row inmate yet their organs are so highly prized people will pay top dollar for them...truly, to be an inmate in china, you are worth far less than the sum of your parts.
ОтветитьI've started to tear up😢
ОтветитьIt's interesting how in the United States, it's almost a badge of honor to go to prison. It's even respected within music. There, it's so shameful that the innocent children are even cast from society. Unsure how I feel about either parallel.
ОтветитьIt breaks my heart seeing this kids saying goodbye to their dad who's in the death row. The woman is wonderful, she is an angel sent by God to help the children. May God bless her more.
