It heavily depends on the player than about features. I have both a heavy g502x and a g305. I snap heads better with the g305 than the g502x because it is a lighter mouse that I can control better. A heavier mouse results in me over leading someone because the mouse requires more energy to move. Which can lead to inaccuracies. In the end, I recommend any variant of the g502 if you are like me and play flight sims, but other than that get any mice that fits you specifically.

because i don't want an entire keyboard on the side of my mouse on top of having to throw around a mouse that weights as much as a brick.

Lightweight mouses are definetely the way to go if you want to get serious in FPS. I got the G Pro X LW for 70$ today it was on sale. I have used lightweight mouses for 3 years now after being a heavy mouse user before. Legit i have ranked up in all games i have played, and my aim i significantly better. It is just factually better than a heavy mouse if you get used to it because it's lighter, you get more agile movemet, easier to track enemies, easier to flick. A lighter mouse is easier to move. And about the plastic, i've never had a single issue with the plastic on these mouses. I'd arguably say that the plastic on G502 is way worse. Where if you get any kind of sweat on your hands, it's impossible to grip properly and it becomes uncomfortable, warm and nasty.

I own both and prefer the form factor of g pro over 502. I don’t really cate about the weight

All jokes aside, this was literally my thought process when I was deciding between the g502 and the superlight, in fact, I was about to buy the superlight and then I realized that the mouse was way too overrated, it has a simplistic design, it's way too light and only 2 extra buttons, why would I pay $160 for this?

Lightweight mice are harder to produce. Because they have to be light, but sturdy. The material is a different polymer. There's a TON of optimization going in. Etc.


Also, light mice are FAR superior to those heavy, ugly G502-like mice.

I don't like to hold a mouse with all my hand (palm grip) and I don't like to get a brick for fps games and the superlight is more comfortable for me btw no one uses the 12 program able buttons in cs go

The superlight changes everything it feels so great comparing to my old heavy mouse

ppl who plays minecraft jitter clicks and prefer lightweight mice and some buttterfly click so with the narrow right and left clicks the g502 is just not the one to use

I think people like the clicks on that mouse and it just so happens that its lightweight but peolle are buying itfor debounce time and click size which that g502x has none of

I like the clean look of the super light. Fits my setup better

Try fingertip aiming on a heavy mouse... you will get a lot of skipping and delay pushing off from stationary as your fingers need to gauge the amount of pressure you need to apply. Same with micro Y axis movements if you need to adjust for the head. If you don't play competitive fps it doesn't matter but if you do it does.

Same bro thats why i use a broom instead of a tooth brush because its bigger, and you can also clean the ground with it.
