Thanks j, as long as everybody realizes that they’re really was no difference between the obsolete 1st class rate, and the updated ground advantage…
As much as I personally hate to make changes to our methodologies, business practices, etc. with eBay, because there’s so many moving parts, and one thing affects the other, vice versa, especially with regards to your pricing and markdowns and promotions, etc. strategies, AND as much as I wanna recoup a few dollars on postage, especially with the cheaper/ low asp items Like T-shirts, hats, etc., this might be what we need to do going into the new year. Across-the-board, very good video. Have to watch it a couple more times. Thanks for all you do.
PS, it’s interesting that you unequivocally state that the buyer doesn’t want to pay such and such, as if they’re fully aware of the different shipping options, cost, etc.… This is an ongoing argument between my wife and myself, and I think there are some finer points to it but yes, you’ve jogged my thought process significantly. I’m willing to take a risk, even if it cost us money to try to save the time that the premise of your video is based around.
I thought I read that you must use a flat rate branded box or envelope for flat rate shipping, but didn’t I see you put that Taco Bell shirt into your own poly mailer and adhere a flat rate label o to it? I’m sooooo confused about this. The more I read and more I watch, the more confused I get. Help!!!
Ответитьjust fold her in half lol
ОтветитьExpert info an presentation. I'll be back. Cheers!!!
ОтветитьQuestion, how do you calculate flat rate shipping on ebay with a flat rate box or flat rate bubble mailer you get from the USPS post office? 🤔
ОтветитьWhat about over 1lb in a box?
ОтветитьIs there any way to go back to the default set up where you can enter the flat shipping cost from listing to listing? I really hate the policy concept. The annoying part about it is trying to calculate the weight including the boxes and packaging when creating the listing. Different items have different weight and different orders have differ packing styles. Having to find a box and weigh it out before listing is a way slower and more tedious process than before
ОтветитьDo you refund initial shipping charges?
ОтветитьSo your not shipping international? Flat rate works fine for domestic but when you start defining International that wont work. Because you cant use calculated now since your item is defined as a policy that is a flat rate item. So how are people going to get accurate calculations for International? You cant tell Intl its a flat rate either. Because that depends on LBS and how heavy it is.
ОтветитьSo you aren't talking about the USPS Flat Rate envelopes or boxes, just your own system of pre-decided charges for various items based on your experience. Not a bad idea if you consistently ship clothing etc and not breakables. I'm still a newbie, so I was a bit confused on the "flat rate" term.
ОтветитьHi, J , thank you for the video. I have sub and liked. It was a tiny bit hard to take notes from this , mine look a mess. Do you have this printed anywhere like a pay chart, I thought it might greatly improve my grasp and actual implimentation of your flate rates. This has been my big hang up on creating listings and has kept me from doing them out of confusion. I have just started a website (unpopulated still ) and e bay sales. Your very helpful and inspire my confidence. Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks for the great videos. I just sold an item that I had selected USPS parcel select ground advantage with a flat rate of $4.87 for a 6oz. package. Ebay wants to charge $9.80 from Cali to NC…I went to pirate ship and it cost me $4.44 for First class…I think we will have to adjust our flat rate shipping Once parcel select ground advantage is our only option on July 9th.
ОтветитьI do most of my listing from the app. Can you select shipping policy in the app?
ОтветитьI have a HEAD tennis racquet to list. What is the best shipping method. eBay is suggesting parcel post and it’s estimating $55-$144. It’ll never sell at those rates. TIA Jake
Ответитьjust come across This video dude you make me figure out this shipping thing
ОтветитьDo you need a store on eBay to make policies for shipping?
ОтветитьHi Jride, Thanks for the videos. I need a little help, so I've come to ask you some questions.
1) What would you do if you had a month old item posted that's dead and no new views? Do you revise the title and price after you've sent offers or relist from scratch again?
2) When you want to sell a shirt someone else sold, do you copy their draft "Sell one like this" or is it better to list without matches? Which one will get more attention?
Thanks for reading.
Great info! Keep having FUN!!
ОтветитьDoing an amazing job 👍🏼
ОтветитьVery good information! Thanks for your work and willingness to share.
ОтветитьMade a huge mistake,Had a dry run with no sales then all the sudden I got two,one was an offer that I should have said no because after accepting it it was going to Puerto Rico and you might can guess $$$ lost money on the item but I agreed to sell it.Lesson learned I hope
ОтветитьHi, thank you for the valuable information. Would you be willing to put those policies on PDF and provide a link so we can print it out. I’m a. Ew reseller a d have never used flat rate bc I don’t understand how or when to use it. Your videos are much appreciated. Have a great day!
ОтветитьI might just copy this exactly :).
ОтветитьThank you Thank you you are so generous and helpful!
ОтветитьWhy don’t you use USPS GROUND SELECT PARCEL? I use it for anything over a pound. It’s less expensive than my UPS Store charges. It gives you tracking but no insurance. I usually insure anything with a value over $100 for a few dollars. I’ve never had any problems.
ОтветитьI assume your golf club method would work for hockey sticks too? Just picked up 3 carbon fiber sticks for $1 at a yardsale last week but have no idea how to ship these things!
Ответитьcongratulations on 5k!!!! lets go!!!
ОтветитьMy 3rd eBay sale… I charged 14.99 flat rate shipping and the package went to Puerto Rico. It ended up being $46 for shipping. My box was 18x12x6. I’m going with calculated shipping for now. Any insights?
ОтветитьHow are you Shipping remotes and mouses under 8 oz? Bubble wrap polybag? Boxes themselves way a few oz.
ОтветитьAs usual your videos are full of good info! Did I miss the video on shipping VCRs?
ОтветитьHow is the change coming to first class shipping in July going to affect this information?
ОтветитьI always do flat rate shipping. Once in a while I end up having to pay a little extra for shipping but typically not. Like you said, after you have listed so many items, you just know. I try to be very considerate of my customers and keep shipping costs as low as possible. I know I hate high shipping fees as a buyer. I never thought of standardizing a system like you have. Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьI just opened the app to do a search for flat rate shipping and your video was first in my feed. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьWhere did you get your faux wood tile photo backdrop and base from?
ОтветитьHow is this affected by global shipping
ОтветитьWill you be updating this July changes? Thanks for your info. You explain this very well! Starting July 9th, USPS will launch USPS Ground Advantage™ service. Please help explain how to set this up?
ОтветитьGood tips man 👍🏿👍🏿
ОтветитьThanks for sharing.
Ответитьyou should wrap the shirt in a bag first
ОтветитьNot being picky here, but I would hide the address's on the label when posting a video. People might use that for an unkind reason....
Love the content. Watch you everyday and learn from you everyday. Thanks again. See you on the live chat later!
