It amazes me how at the border they ask if your a American citizen but at our manufacturers which require physical labor the hire illegal citizens as freelancers, as they take all the overtime pay/positions on a flat rate, not really making any overtime but keeping the real employee from overtime, we call it the Guatemala two step….it takes the IRS/homeland security, three years that they paid no taxes and then they leave the county and come back with different names and while they lived in our soil had babies 👶….tax free labor…..

Has anyone thought about mass civil disobedience at one of these check points. About two hundred cars pull up at the same time, record the interaction and refuse to answer questions. Do it on a nice day. Bring chairs, snacks and drinks. Pass out free pocket constitutions. If they tell you to pull over to the side, when they say you're free to go everyone tell them you want to speak to supervisor, then demand to fill out a complaint form before you leave. It's also completely legal for everyone to park on the public easement and record public servants in the process of their duties. 200+ America citizens who value their 1st and 4th amendment rights making a day of it. Continue this as often as possible till they get the point. You don't ask to have your rights respected, you demand it. Since they don't respect the individual citizens you demand it in mass!

I have mixed feelings about these videos. It’s cool to exercise your rights but I feel like if you don’t have an actual reason why not just comply. I get both sides now. Say you were in a situation where you’ve been drinking a little or whatever sure if you know your rights go for it but I just don’t see the point in refusing when you have nothing to hide good video tho

It's been my experience that, while it may be your right to refuse to answer question as well as not even verbally communicate in any way other than to ask if you're being detained or free to go, it's incredibly rude when the trooper is being polite and not obtrusive of your person or attempting to obfuscate your rights to not speak to them. If you haven't done anything wrong, that speaks for itself. If the troopers get overzealous or start being weasels like some of them can sometimes, then maybe not speaking is warranted. Balance. There's always balance to be had in the universe. Some troopers are truly good people just trying to make sure a drunk isn't rolling through their checkpoint. They won't bother you. In fact, the DUI checkpoints I've been through in VA are very simple, they ask for your DL and sometimes the registration and they didn't even ask questions. Painless.

People say they don't answer questions and then do but don't blame them, it's difficult to not answer because you are being polite and forget for a split second your not answering , but will get better at it.

Sorry but I’m 100% for a full proctologist exam if you’re entering the country. The constitution should only apply to American citizens. Any opposing argument would imply that our constitution applies to all people on earth… we are not the police of the world. We apply rights and laws solely to our citizens and nobody else.
