how do i create %temp% folder it wasnt used to open bcuz of currupt file or something present in it so i somewhat changed its environmental value and merged to temp folder tho so any solutions

I've done this successfully on two computers, but on one laptop whenever I type
prefetch, temp, etc. followed by ok.... NOTHING happens. No window to highlight the file selections to delete pops up at all.

Any idea on what to do? Thanks. (And thank you for making your videos so easy to follow).

I find it very questionable when simply any measures are shown here without explaining what exactly is done with the computer and what could also be possible disadvantages.
The tips here are mainly aimed at lay people. And they should be given the opportunity to assess what they should do or perhaps better not do.

For example, it is not advisable to delete the prefetch area (represents a caching mechanism) without necessity. This sometimes even turns into the opposite (with a hard disk) or proves to be absolutely negligible in terms of speed effects with a SSD PC.
The prefetch folder has the task of collecting data to speed up the start of frequently used programs or the Windows boot process (depending on the registry setting). When a program is started, Windows records the process by creating a PF file. This contains files loaded by the application to optimize the startup time of the application in the future. Windows does NOT work slower the fuller the Prefetch folder is. But that is what is implied here in the video. Emptying it hardly gives a speed gain. Rather, the measure slows down the operating system. Caching files are missing afterwards and defragmenters (not useful for SSDs) are missing a basis for optimization. Windows usually takes care of the prefetch folder automatically. Deleting the prefetch files CAN then only be an option if programs cause problems at startup.

Generally it is also nonsense to delete the thumbnails. If a folder is then accessed again, the thumbnails must first be recreated. And that can take time.

With many of these "cleaning" tips, the risk of causing something to fail is greater than the speed gain (which is often only measurable, but not relevant in practice.
