What settings do you change when setting up your PC?

great video man. very simple and well organized. i found it very helpful for my new pc build with a fresh win 11 install and getting some of my foundations laid in the OS.

I noted that in 11, i am not able create new folders in File Explorer. Is there a way to enable to create new folders? I can create a new folder in Office 365.

I don't have Edge as a default, but MS keeps persistently over and over again asking me if I want to make it so. Is there a "NO and STOP asking me" setting?

Another pet peeve I always have with File Explorer is the fact that it doesn't show file extensions by default, just in case the system is potentially infected with malware. In the Folder Options screen > View tab, I always like to clear the check box next to "Hide extensions for known file types."

Very useful information as usual! With Windows 11, if I have a program open (say Chrome) and do not interact with it for a while, at some point the icon disappears from the taskbar. I can make it reappear by changing the taskbar to autohide and back, but this is cumbersome. Do you know if there's a settings that can be done so as to prevent icons of running programs from disappearing from the taskbar?
