Things you missed:
1. After you survive the time Sonic tried to kill you with spikes, go through the rocks. Right after you do that, there will be rocks beneath you, jump on them. Eventually you will find a ring go into the ring. You will then be transferred somewhere else. I won't spoil where
2. On the title screen press P. Some letters will come, put the letters, A, G, N, O, R, S, You will then be transported to a boss fight. Trust me I don't know how to beat the boss fight either

despite the game being a complete fucking glitch fest full of bugs and crashes, it was still one of the better EXE horror games out there besides OMT, EYX, and PC Port

there needs to be more Sonic 2 creepypasta games in general. why is it always Sonic 1 that gets the EXE treatment and not Sonic 2?

It's about average. The good thing are the sprites but it's uncreative. Other than that, it has potential but needs a desperate major fix for the bugs.
