Remenber kids, you can equip and use steel watchers greatswords with custom characters
ОтветитьGetting 3 levels in rogue if you are going to do the polearm sentinel feats mean you get 3d6 damage against enemies adjacent to your allies. I personally like thief rogue for the additional bonus action with the dash and disengage as bonus actions
ОтветитьThree more attacks in the round. When you say three more rounds of damage it’s hilariously confusing, lol. Great video m8.
I think going pure fighter def wanna go BM or EK and i think champion is best for a multi-class dip. I multi-classed wyl four levels of fighter and he crits everywhere.
What feats would you use with a trident?
ОтветитьI had Karlach as a fighter then Barb at 6 and now I don't know what to make her. Is fighter better at higher levels?
ОтветитьPure fighter is one one of strongest classes throughout the game. It’s solid and just works.
ОтветитьHave to disagree on the gauntlets. The best ones in my opinion are the +1-4 (flawed helldusk gloves) or +1-6 fire damage (helldusk gloves) on every melee hit. Not just during surge turn.
Those coupled with the caustic band ring +2 acid damage ring (+2 for ranged attacks as well) is pure sex.
Basic: The Class.
ОтветитьLae'zel was easily outdamaging Karlach by the end of the game, especially thanks to the gloves that give advantage for ten rounds (necessary to counter the great weapons perk)
ОтветитьIf you gear champ with reduced number to crit gear, you can just delete things with two weapon fighting. With proper stats/gear, you crit on most attacks. It can be a little boring button wise, but big numbers and big red text gives me the brain chemicals that feel good.
Ответитьheavy armor with heavy armor? Did he mean heavy armor master? Either way, good description of the fighter
ОтветитьThe opportunity attack from polearm master, is that only with polearms or all weapons?
At some point, I'm definitely going to do a playthrough using a halberd, medium armor and a floppy hat, for that landsknecht feel.
Almost every 5E character I make takes 2 levels of fighter, but I’ve never actually made a pure fighter. You make a great argument for giving it a try though
ОтветитьYes.
Feels like a short and direct answer!
I had Lae'Zel and respecced Karlach as fighters in my party. The damage was ridiculously high later on in the game.
ОтветитьMine is 12 fighter. Half orc, champion, two weapon fighting, dual wield, great weapon master, savage strikes, asi. LOTS of crits= LOTS of attacks.
ОтветитьLvl 11 Eldritch knight with tavern brawler feat just deal like 100 dmg per turn, with haste & action surge its possible to deal 300 dmg. With long strider & jump spell, its the best class to use as main character
ОтветитьI feel like people sleep on Riposte as an option. I get it's not an active skill with an effect but with Polearm Mastery you can attack, do a reaction when they come in range, and retaliate when you're missed so it's rare that you're ever not dishing out damage. Combine with War Cleric like I have and you get some gross shit you can do. Earlier I crit for 36 just on that Riposte.
ОтветитьA couple of times in this video, you said that certain bonuses added to your damage but they're actually bonuses to your hit chance (Attack Roll). Svartlebee's Woundseeker and Phalar Aluve's Sing ability, for example, are both bonuses to hit. It's an important distinction.
ОтветитьYour videos are amazing! I am so glad to have found your channel!
ОтветитьFighter +Potion of Speed+Bloodlust Elixer= everything dies. Champion subclass is bare boned, but using a half orc race with it along with certain gear is super spicy and very enjoyable. Love the videos man
ОтветитьYes. You should play fighter. They bonk or stab from up close or very far away. Any range is fair. At level 11 with haste and action surge, you can bonk 12 times in a turn lmao
ОтветитьWorth mentioning, Rally can be used like healing word to bring up a downed ally
ОтветитьThanks for the video
ОтветитьBattlemaster is undoubtedly the best subclass but the Champion subclass can have a great impact without needing to think much in battle.
ОтветитьThe way you front-load your content is amazing.
ОтветитьBard/Fighter or Rogue/Fighter
ОтветитьFighter is so ludicrous in BG3. Yes, play it
Ответитьbattlemaster w the manoever gloves is god mode
ОтветитьHow is fighter vs paladin (non multi class)? Divine smith vs Fighter's 3 attacks at lvl 11
ОтветитьMy Nyrulna wielding teifling fighter is an absolute menace.
Ответитьif you got the light of lythander buff then if you dismiss and then have that same party member rejoin your party the buff refreshes on them so they can do a bonus 1d4 radiant damage on each attack. i dont know if this is a bug though.
Ответитьat the end if you start wit trip attack, next attacks would have advantage, so is better opener.
ОтветитьI made my fighter a pure sword and board guy and forewent the high damage bumbers to see just how tanky I could get it. I was not disappointed. 27 base AC and +7 on spell saving throws launched, a beefy 125 hp and a few feats to allow for some additional healing or defensive capabilities. My damage was utter shit compared to everyone else, but I wasn’t going down any time soon. My guy turned into steady stream of chip damage that refused to bite dust. Fun for one playthrough, but not something I’m eager to repeat. The big flashy number builds or heavy fun utility guys are much more entertaining in the long run. Still, I enjoyed my time as a turtle cosplay.
ОтветитьI really enjoy playing a pure battlemaster fighter. Simple, but fun. On top of all that I don't rely on long rest at all and that's wonderful.
Honestly there's a lot of variety. Sword and board, ranged, 2 hand, glaive, throw if you're so inclined, spear and shield.
I'll likely run a version of this in my next play through as well.
Champion is good for when you get tired of micromanaging every character and just want to smack haha
ОтветитьPlayed an Eldritch Knight my first playthrough, was an absolute joy. The shield spell on a character with high base AC is kind of broken, there's a reason very few npcs get Shield throughout the game lol. I think multiclassing wizard becomes quite strong on paper starting at around the BG 3 level cap, so I'm really hoping we get dlc with higher level cap. And yes I know there's a mod for that.
Ответитьi also thought fighter was super vanilla. till i hit lvl 5 and realized i can pound anything in to the dirt with 4 superiority charges and precision strike + great weapon master/pole arm master's in 1 turn ohhh and lvl11? yeah my pc fighter became my favorite haste recipient real quick i swear people some times think fighters can only be champions or EKs but BM is soooo fun if you're like me and just enjoy doing the most actions every turn only other build i enjoyed as much was 5 warlock 7 paladin + duelist prerogative to get a 4 attack turn with ought any buffs other than casting pact weapon
ОтветитьFighters are boring as hell, unless they're a human fighter, then they're a gigachad
Being serious, fighters and warlocks are prob the most consistent classes in the game imo.
Dude. This is just disgusting.
Love it
your absolute power tooltip bugged out, its just weapon damage + 1-6 force damage, but since you had a different weapon equipped, it added it all together and looked really strong. equip it and watch the tooltip change to 1d8+5 +1-6 force instead of 22-37
ОтветитьI did a cardinal sin and made Gale into a mage Knight. Specifically Fighter 1 and Wizard 3 so far.
ОтветитьBattlemaster fighter is busted, you can easily do over 200 damage in in one turn if you use action surge and all your superiority dice, more if you apply buffs beforehand.
Ответитьthe most fun i had as a cleric and a fighter was fighter and war domain cleric when most think its a wierd combo its no.
you can use action surge and war domain charges allowing you with lvl 3 to hit 3-4 times in 1 go. it gets worse from this point on anything what is in your reach is mostly dead.
Lvl 12 fighter just standing there hammering somthing witha 2 hander is hilarious😂
ОтветитьBeen playing a fighter/sorcerer multiclass that i've thought of for years in regular dnd; the ability to quickened spell and get off the entirety of battlemaster's kit is phenomenal, not to mention the added utility and tanking from things like shield, some aoe spells, menacing attack, and beyond.
ОтветитьI'm on my third playthrough and I've tried doing other builds and end up just respeccing to a duel crossbow fighter every time somebody please help.
ОтветитьI recently started a run wanting to go all in on critting with eldritch blast. It’s going to be champion 3/great old ones warlock (probably the rest, might go fighter 4, not 100% decided yet). Plan’s pretty simple, equip every piece of gear that ups my crits, and eldritch blast at every opportunity. Fighter obviously gets me my first bonus to crit range as well as action surge, so when I really need to erase an enemy, I can, plus heavy armor and shields means that you can’t even really do the usual get a heavy onto the caster and win approach to dealing with casters. I’ll definitely grab spell sniper, so starting quite early on (if I go the fighter 4 route), I’ll have an 18-20 crit range on my blasts. I dunno, maybe it doesn’t feel like a fighter so much as a warlock, but it might be the most meat-headed smashy smashy way to play a character that’s mostly a caster, so it feels right to me anyway.
