i am unable add RDS role by the way you are showing. getting an error "you must be logged on as a domain user to access the remote desktop services installations options"...

where during or after the isntallation of the RDS service, informs you which address/ip to enter to the browser in order for the gui to load up ?
Probably with this kind of installation you only allow local domain users to use the service. If those users were to enter via an external network, an RDS Gateway shouldn't be configured as well?
