I don't gamble and I have never owned a horse .....and races like this are why I NEVER miss the derby. I watch the triple crown and breeders cup strictly to watch these beautiful animals shock the world. This was one of the best I've seen and I have watched over 40 derby's in my life. Mine that Bird replay is the gift that keeps on giving .

He never mentioned his name until he won!! lol

It takes guts, timing and horse sense to thread that horse thru the pack like that. Oh, and the horse was really good, too.

What I find amazing is the announcer didn’t even see Bird take over on the inside.
