Anybody that travels in Mexico today days is an idiot! You have no rights there and if arrested (you don't have to break the law to get arrested) you might never be seen or heard from again. Even Mexican citizens have no rights! Mexican law enforcement doesn't even attempt to protect the citizens from the Cartels because they are so afraid of the Cartels. They know that if they stand up to the Cartels they and all of their family will be killed.

For context as to how stupidly insane you are to do those things, the Sinaloa Cartel is one of the most notorious Mexican cartels, even most Mexicans wouldn't even want to step foot into Sinaloa (especially Culiacan), and the US Department of State website has labeled Sinaloa as a "Level 4: Do Not Travel" state.
