1) on the "3-Amigos Back Together Again": Super great to see you guys shooting the breeze around these topics

2) on the "Starting a Venture and Documenting It": Fudge-Yeah! Especially, if you can find ways for 4.0 Solutions community to participate!

It seems like the "upper layers" (ERP, even MES) applications are slowly being desintegrated, and being restructured and would finish "listed" as services in a catalogue (tools in a toolbox) eventually. Those services could be than used or combined in automated or flexible intelligent process flows according to company business requirements. It would not require anymore a professional programmers or coders to set-up an app to solve a certain problem or support an opperation, as long as there is access to the "single-source-of-truth". 😏 "Her majesty" data.

Why is this happening and how come it's possible? Not only, but also due to the UNS and the non-linear problem solving required in the digital era. If we add no/low code tech and AI/ML, we can see the next level of the exponential growth.

Excited to see Vaughn with 4.0 Solutions along with Zack on the Q & A! Vaughn had a huge impact on the start of my Industry 4.0 journey two years ago before enrolling into Mastermind and Mentorship. Creating and documenting a business startup up with you three would be awesome! Thank you for clearing up the UNS ERP integration question. Exactly what I needed to hear at 56 minutes. "Digital Transformation happens in two giant steps. Step number one is three to five years becoming a smart company...Step number two is plugging into a digital supply chain. The first two to three years of that first giant step is to connect, collect, store, analyze, visualize....MQTT Sparkplug B will do all of that for you... You won't run into a single issue using MQTT 3, MQTT 5 and MQTT Sparkplug B all together in the same broker namespace." Looking forward to more content on the Unified Analytics Framework. Excited to hear that the MES Bootcamp final version is ready. Perfect timing. I am about to start my first year automation students with Ignition. Working with creating custom dashboards in Perspective. Students will be building their own widgets for various MES functions such as OEE, TEEP and SPC. It will be great to show the students how the MES Bootcamp project works.

So I think with an infrastructure based on Ignition, a -1 makes sense, but absent of that, perhaps some sort of agreed upon "null" value would be more appropriate or generic.

SAP really only needs to know about BOMs for inventory and cost allocation.

Great Session.. 'Technophobia' is definitely one of the biggest challenge in the S&M Manufacturing space. On top of clear Digital Strategy & Digital Transformation Training (must-haves), I think Leadership communication and alignment with Front line workforce can be a driving force towards the successful DT.

i think the biggest challenge face small manufacturing is the ability to hire the personal responsible for the DT within their factory , i saw many small manufactures that prefer to rent some devices ( that a company will come and connect to their machines ) to show them the OEE calculation and get the risk of vendor locked ( or dependent ) than doing it themselves
