All you need if a big monitor and a cozy cat pillow hehe
ОтветитьGood morning my dear
I enjoy your video's
love this design. so simple.
ОтветитьCould you please share the dimensions of this table ?
ОтветитьWhat kind of wood is this? Thanks.
ОтветитьWhere did you get the drawers and cabinet at?
Ответитьvery, very, i said VEEEERY unstable table top
ОтветитьGreat Job!!!!
ОтветитьExcellent build. I wish I had the room to do woodworking again
ОтветитьBeautiful. Too much for me...
ОтветитьExcellent
Ответитьbelo trabalho!!
ОтветитьI LOVE: This Isssssssssssss the Real speed 😶🌫😶🤣
ОтветитьI made a similar but not as nice top for a desk, starting with 2x6 lumber in 8' lengths. First I cut each board in half, ripped 1/4" off of each narrow edge to make them square then ripped down the middle so I ended up with 2.5" wide boards. My desk was supposed to be 6' long so I cut some of the 4' lengths into 2' lengths then I arranged the pieces in an alternating pattern 2' plus 4', then 4' plus 2' so the boards overlapped in the middle and provided strength. That gave a lot of glue joints. I didn't have a 6' long workbench for the glueup so I found a smooth and flat spot on my garage floor, put down a layer of plastic and did the glueup there. I should have scraped the glue but didn't so that was more sanding. I did some hand planing on the surface but it's not perfectly flat, to get that I would have had to use a router sled to flatten it. I was trying to do this on a budget, otherwise I could have just bought a factory made butcher block top. My resulting softwood top is 25" x 6' x 1.5" thick, a hardwood top one foot longer would have been heavier. I can carry mine around pretty easily but my arms can reach across the 25" width. I'm working on the legs now.
ОтветитьVery nice! I'd love to do this!
About how much do all the tools cost for the project?
Any way to get a flat desktop without joiner, planer and table saw?
Excellent work! It looks so nice
ОтветитьMost impressive. Great job on the top, it look fantastic. I'm impressed.
ОтветитьI watched too many building of my own desk, but this one is the best one so far!
ОтветитьAny reason you didn’t let these boards acclimate after you milled them like you did for the shelves?
ОтветитьWhy not buy a cheap butcher block top to begin with.. it would have much simpler to do
ОтветитьIts DIY with professional workshop xd
ОтветитьCouldn't you just make a desk out of a solid single sheet of 3/4 plywood? What are the ramifications of doing it that way vs this way?
ОтветитьThe desk is beautiful but the setup in general looks amazing!!!
ОтветитьAfter milling the wood, did you let them sit a day or two to see if anything warped and then run thru the jointer again before gluing? I’ve been told that after milling and exposing the wood to the air it can warp so best to leave it a few days ?
ОтветитьWow looks great. When you ripped on your table saw did you use the up/down method. That will help clean up the edges a lot.
Ответитьi love all of your video!! they are wonderfully helpful!!
ОтветитьThis is an old video, but I just watched and you've done a great job!
May I kindly ask your chair brand and model? I have been looking for mesh seat and back office chairs, but been unlucky.
😍Well Done and Thank You 😊
ОтветитьNice video. Great looking desk. I've got desk envy. I'm surprised to see anyone editing video on small laptop screens. That massive desk would support a larger monitor quite easily. haha.
Ответитьpela qualidade de trabalho, ganhou um inscrito!
ОтветитьBeautiful job!
ОтветитьAwesome content
Ответитьhow much board feet
ОтветитьGreat job Marie! I too use Osmo on most projects and it has served me well. Very well done video!
ОтветитьHi, may i know what height is your table? Thanks
ОтветитьThere is a fence tool you can use to get a perfect square. The problem with using just the fence and the board is that if you use an imperfect edge with the fence it basically transfers those small wedges to the opposite side and then you flip and do the same thing to other side and never truly get square. Just something I saw from someone else's videos.
ОтветитьLOL - ",.. the limited space I have in my workshop",... LOL,.. You clearly have NO idea how lucky you are to have what you do. Those of us watching this most likely have NO space or tools, let alone half of what you do.
ОтветитьI really like that finish you used! Turned out great.
ОтветитьI was going to dislike this vid, but you are unbelievably talented. The desk is phenomenal, however, this isn't a dyi for the avg person, this is a pro vid. How much do you charge to build a desk like that?
Ответитьexcellent
ОтветитьSo jealous of your tools!
ОтветитьNicely done. Excellent video. Turned out beautiful. I was not familiar with Osmo Polys-oil. The finish looks great and it looks easy to apply.
ОтветитьVery nice project. Wish you had incorporated some wood joinery techniques. I think this would support a 50+ lb printer (~24 kg).
ОтветитьI'm gonna take a wild guess and say blue is your favorite color. :-)
Question: What do you use for video editing?
I bet wood workers are the most happiest people on Earth
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful setup you have there.
If I may ask (and I apologize if it seems snarky), was there a reason you didn't use a biscuits, dowels or pocket holes with each plank? As someone who is looking to build his own desk soon, I am fascinated by others builds and steps on how they do it. I think it looks incredible, and I am looking forward to making my desk.
......as soon as I rip out all the carpet, paint the walls and install the new wood flooring LOL
Видос то что надо. Все очень интересно особенно когда ты смотришь это в 5 утра. (И да комент на русском потому что хочу узнать сколько тут русских)
ОтветитьLooks great ... its simple and works great by the looks of things ... see a few more projects down the road for your space hopefully:) .... great job and video... thanks for the video
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьI gave your video a like because I've wondered how to make desktop and also that there was a cat in your cupboard (I've been there myself). I like the colour co-ordination of the Desktop and the cupboards.
