I have a kamasu 2 with the red dial and black bezel, I absolutely love this watch and it gets a lot of complements.

Been a cop for 26 years... I love my watches but after smashing 3 or various brands (weirdly its normally the strap pins that fail) you just cant beat a good old Gshock!! Loads of options and only spending peanuts on them. Ive got three i wear in rotation.. but im thinking about a luminox to mix things up a bit. 😅

While at work, Apple Watch is just so useful.

Outside of work, I like watches that make me happy.

So you recommend a mechanical watch for office workers and a smart watch which needs charging daily to military personnel… i think this is a bad video

The whole cocktail series by Seiko is so elegant and captivating. It really strikes a fine balance between creating visual interest and keeping the dial from being too busy, so you could wear it in a business casual setting, but it would definitely pair well with a suit -- or even a tuxedo.

Maybe some day I'll indulge in this or another one. For now, I'll enjoy learning what's on the market, what makes watch different and so on. Good content.

Very funny I came to this video to upgrade my watch for my construction profession, and the recommendation is the exact watch I'm wearing. It's the second one I've owned since 2012 so needless to say I'll keep my other watches in the watch box.

After going through many watches during my career on The Job I would recommend to any Rookie to buy the Marathon Navigator with Date. They will make use of the lume on the dial and hands, the bezel for timing/documenting events plus they are super hardy. They come in 3 colors: Black, Tan and Green; which should match almost any LEO uniform out there. I bought one for my Son, when he entered the Maritime Academy. He is pleased with it.

Medical workers, nurses, doctors should go for smart watche with calling feature. They are working in imergency wards or OTs their hands are scrubbed (sanitized) so they can't take important calls by holding/touching it.

I currently work in an office as a logistician. I am constantly emailing and calling people in at least 5 different time zones. I need to look smart, but I would be ridiculed and laughed at if I wore a pretentious, overpriced timepiece. But I love great mechanical engineering! What's my watch?

I don't know about other countries but in germany, doctors and general hospital staff are forbidden to wear wrist watches for hygenic reasons, which is understandable. Also, gloving up gets really annoying and when you are a surgeon you don't want to leave an expensive watch in the locker room.

25yr serving in the ARMY. Casio F-91W and G shock is what most of my colleagues wear in the field. Back in the office, anything goes, from Rolex to Panarai to Omega etc etc... mostly desk divers and field watches and of course the Apple watch or alternative android smart watch.

As a teacher I wear a Garmin Fenix 5. I have a nice G-Shock but it has to be analogue for me, because I need to know how much time remains until the next activity instead of just the time of the day. Also, I need it to give me allerts the the principal and other teachers send. Annoying, I know, but it's come to that lately.

There's one you missed, auto mechanics.

I would argue that the only thing that would make sense is a very robust water and impact resistant pocket watch with a non metallic retention strap that cant conduct electricity or scratch paint. A wrist watch will be in the way, relentlessly hit with chemicals and impacts, and could easily accidentally scratch paint.

I was in that profession for a decade and never wore a watch during the time nor did i know any who did. Wall clocks and modern pocket watches (cell phones) are standard.

The problem with polymer watches in the trades or manufacturing is if they work with chemicals, specifically acetone, it won't last a week before all of the buttons are seized in the housing. Latex or silicone seems to last the longest in the most amount of chemicals. So a watch with a minimal amount of exterior controls with the correct seals, made of metal and a durable crystal, and can handle a shock, would be ideal for a manufacturing or trades watch.

I am a lecturer and looking around, I can see that the most popular watch brand for academics is Swatch. I guess most academics are quite practical and go for value for money and Swatch fits the bill perfectly.

As a doctor, the divers and chronos are very useful. I use mine to see how much time has elapsed after one patient has left the operating room, so that I can anticipate when the room will be ready for next patient (turnover times differ between hospitals but somewhere in realm of 30 minutes). I bought the Mako 2 off your site a few months ago as well, very similar to the Kamasu!

I am a driver for UPS. I wore a Casio A168WA for 8 years. Still works, but a bit scuffed up. I recently upgraded to a Hamilton Field Khaki H69439363. I need a somewhat sturdy watch for date and time. I like the mechanical Hamilton best. I like winding each owning, and the overall look and feel to the watch

The best watch for my occupation is the one i take off before my shift every morning. I hate not wearing anything at all, but i wouldnt even subject a gshock to the shit i do. I package 75lb after market steel bumpers for SUVs using a foam chemical spray. Whatever that chem touches, its permanent.

I wear a seiko 5 when I get of work though

Teddy, a chemical engineer is to a refinery what James Bond is to the KGB. To do this job, you don't need a Baretta, but you instead are gonna need to have in the back of your office, a five gallon bucket with a long rope tied to the handle, some safety goggles, a hard-hat, and a set of Nomex overalls. Your watch will need to be readable in the dark, waterproof, with stopwatch capability, and even better if it can track two activities at the same time. When I was such an engineer I wore a 90's Omega Seamaster 300 Chrono Diver. This spectacular watch has a set of features useful for a chemical engineer. You can time two events at the same time via the chrono and the Bezel functions, and a critical feature is that the stopwatch pushers don't have to be screwed down and even work underwater! This is a professional watch for a job that requires a person who can think logically and is at the same time, tenacious as hell. After all, there are about 2000 pipes out there, and you have to be able to figure out where, when, and how much stuff is flowing through every one of them, and you don't have all day. And if you don't figure things out quick, your odds of missing that Friday evening drink at your favorite watering hole are going to go up dramatically. But if you do get out to have that drink, that same watch will look good on you with those chaotically twirling fluorescent red chrono hands reminding your sexy girlfriend that she doesn't know everything!
