Bjorn’s playing makes this pedal sound better than it is.
It’s not even close to the original and quite dull sounding.

It sounds awesome... May I ask which delay setting on the Flashback? Just the analog or the tape, the last one has quite a bit of modulation by itself.

I'm primarily a humbucker guy, but that Strat sounds so excellent. Lean and clean. A great starting point platform to shape. onto the greater canvas.

Great video and playing, sounds amazing. In your opinion, between the Retro-Sonic Flanger and the Mooer E-Lady which do you think sounds closer to David Gilmour's Electric Mistress tone.

Fantastic tone B. There is a pair of Celestion V30 speakers for sale near me but in an open backed cab, would there be much difference in tone?

You just can NOT achieve the vintage EM sound, as the BBD delay chip has long been obsolete, even before when EHX released the 24V deluxe version. Actually the BBD chip used in DEM again has been discontinued. MN3207, which this pedal uses, is like the stock bbd chip in many analog flanger. I will just stay with mooer.

Very nice. I'll stick with my Mooer E-Lady and Subdecay Starlight flangers for now, but this is a lovely sounding, almost "warm" flange sound - not an adjective one usually associates with Mistress style flangers (maybe it's the warmth of Björn that I'm hearing :) )

Awesome demo! Can you also get Van Halen tones with this flanger? Or is it mostly an EM clone?

Bjorn, please I need your help. I’m trying to figure out what guitar pick is David’s go to. If there isn’t one, I’d like to know which one he used for the pulse concerts. Thanks and great vids!

Great playing...
That one seems really promising for a flanger!

I bought one and am really digging it. I have a 18V EM and have always loved the sound but the clock noise is bad. This one is definitely the closest I’ve found to my original and will be using this from now on. Tim did a great job with this flanger.

Hey Bjorn,

Great video!

If money isn't an issue, which one would you place on your pedalboard between a Retro-Sonic and a Mooer ElecLady?

Thanks!

Hi Bjorn! How does this compare with the Hartman Flanger (which I have)? Is it worth checking it out over it or is it just splitting hairs? Did not care for the Moer though it works well for some stuff, the Hartman is just so natural and sweet...Thanks for all you do! You're an inspiration every time I tune in...

Did that guitar start out it's life as an Eric Johnson Strat?
I am currently converting a black EJ Strat (non-bound neck) into a Gilmour Strat!

How the hell a Gilmour fanatic would use v30 speakers?? They're the most brittle harsh thing you could use as speakers.

I love that bound fretboard, is it actually a Fender? I'm building a Strat currently, i just did one last year that i used a one piece alder body that took me months to source a blank large enough, light enough to make the body out of, and i made the neck from a maple leg from a bed post of 160 year old bed. I started this one almost immediately after playing the Eric Johnson Virgina 54 Strat.
I was planning on using either Korina or mahogany, i played one built by a friend of what was essentially a '59 replica but with Korina, and loved how balance it was, however the Sassafras body the new EJ comes in is as close to the "perfect" strat tone that's been on my head for a decade.
I don't want to build the neck from scratch this time though. Id LOVE a Rosewood fretboard with binding, but those choices are slim.. i won't use Warmoth, i got into a customer service problem with them a decade ago and they were so damn arrogant that i swore never again, plus i find USACG to make a better product, but they don't do binding on the fretboard, and even if i used Warmoth, they only do them for their "modern" necks. I don't want a 22 fret, and i don't like how the double action truss rod and the different routing does to the tone. I could buy a used Eric Johnson RW neck or possibly one of the 60s Jazzmaster necks that used binding, but I'm not paying $600-700 for a neck.
