I haven’t heard this since Detroit radio stop playing it probably in the late 70s. And even then it was just a weekend 60s review sort of thing. But I always thought this song was cool but listening to it now it’s just amazing how tight they were and their harmonies are dead on. It also shows how much the other bands of the area were lacking in talent.

They were one of the top bands in Detroit late 60s early 70s,probably more popular than the MC5 , Stooges or SRC.Dick Wagner aka known as the Mistro went on to play with Lou Reed and Alice Cooper, but his time with the frost was some of the best of Detroit born Music 🎶.

My 1st band learned this song after seeing them play a few times ...I wore the album out listening to it so much ..the last time I saw them was in early 71 in GR Mi. I got there a half hour before they started ..i walked right up to the stage & was checking out their equiptment when I saw someone light up a cigg in the dark corner on the side of the stage & it was Dick Wagner so I walked right up to him & fired up a cigg myself & told him he was my favorite Singing Guitar player of all the Michigan bands & that my band just recently learned R&R Music ..He gave me a big smile & said you play one of my songs ? You must be a cool kid ....made me feel about 10 ft. tall hangin' with Dick Wagner before the show started . what a great singer guitarplayer & what a great career he had with all the bands he played with ..RIP Mr Wagner.

One of my first great concerts Dick Wagner and The Frost. He used to play a number of concerts at Notre Dame High School (was it 8 mile). Also The Eastown Theatre in Detroit (Harper) near Van Dyke (The place was a gem with great accoustics). I'm sure I saw them there more often than I remember due to the smell of french perfume. Frost Music album in 1969 is my favorite. Even better than his great guitar work with Alice Cooper and Lou Reed.

I always thought The Frost was the best of the Detroit bands and they would be the ones to make it big. So much better live than Bob Seger at the time. I saw Dick Wagner do a solo acoustic show at the Grande after the band split-up. About 1/2 way through the show he threw down the acoustic, got some electric gear and with guys from the audience jammed on blues and Frost songs the rest of the night. What started out a bit sad ended up being a raucous night of rock and roll.

The first "yaa!" you hear at the very end, was my sister, according to her. She worked at the Grande, and also dated Dick Wagner for a spell. She always told me that when we would listen to that tune.

My friend Ann Prevost played this for me in 1970 on an old stereo fancy wood finish at where she was babysitting. Had me from the intro! I use to reach all those note, have sung this years ago with my wedding band. This song should have gone nation wide!
